congrats in owning a new ZL!

btw, why do u choose ZL over ZR?

i also considering ZL, ZR and even lumia 925 but still cant decide yet

i would say ZL is clear winner here . faster processor , 5' 1080 HD LCD, 2gb ram.

i would take android anytime against windows OS .

but battery performance for ZL is below par of the ZR, especially on constant web browsing, isit true?

i've tried once the L925 and the no-lag-even-a-second WP8 OS really impressed me though

guys.. i got a very very light scratches on my screen.. a screen protector can cover it up?

thats because ZR uses 720p screen and ZL uses 1080p so it drains less battery thus battery stay longer

the reason why i choose android over WP8 OS is because the apps/games . until now the number of apps for WP8 is way too low compare to android and IOS

Microsoft too late entering this smartphone OS market . leaving android and IOS dominated in Smartphone OS.

Nokia phone is solid but too bad they pick up a wrong partner .

I'm sorry if anyone has ask this question before. Just bought my ZL second hand. Everything is so far perfect, but i seems to have a problem updating to 10.3.1.A.0.244. Everytime i've finish download, it will said error and ask me to retry with the same result. any ideas?

FYI, the jellybean is already updated to 4.2.2.

I was in the same situation as you, in the end i chosen ZL

For nokia i will wait L1020 and give it a try..

temporary i think nope.. in that price range, got nexus 4, s3, ZL, ZR. if u are not very need water resistant, then ZL confirm is the best deal.. S3 is just a Samsung failure device but succeed in marketing. 1gb RAM for it is totally not enough due to bloatware.

WP8 of course is good OS and got HERE Maps and others.. no doubt on it. but problem is the Store for the apps is really . if u are normal user with only phone call/sms and camera shooter, then u go for it.. (got whatsapp, Line only). Window store still under development, not suggested.. if this problem solved, i would change ship to window phone too..

ZL vs ZR.. identical hardware with some different. Screen resolution 1080 vs 720. mainly cause by this.. so battery life and performance confirm better in ZR. but ZR lack of internal memory. 5.2gb user accessible out of 8gb. front camera 0.3mp.. if u dont mind these, then go for ZR for extra water resistant which is good..

u downloaded the update on phone?? Over the Air?? if so, i would like to tell u a bad news that is ur phone had been unlocked bootloader before..

Only ways u can check whether unlocked bootloader before, go WALKMAN apps>Download music info.. if cant download and appear error, then that's it..

report back whether mine is correct. coz if bootloader unlocked, DRM key will lost.. and phone is unable to contact to gracenote unless further apps mod.. if u are fully in stock ROM without any mods, u can check through walkman apps..

yeah, been reading something about DRM key lost etc. Ive havent any songs in my phone yet, so when try to download music info, it returns no update (but no error message as well). anyway, will try your and nagflar ways to solve it, thanks anyway

I'm considering Z,ZL, ZR and the yet ot be released Z1. At the moment, ZR top the list cos waterproof, battery removable & battery life longer. If between Z, ZL & Z1, the latest is of course better but price is the problem

Though I am Nokia fan, would not buy a Windows Phone

Once nano coated, it's lifetime 1, unless the parts hv been removed/ replaced

I'm considering ZL at the moment, will wait for z1 to launch before buying as the price will definitely be reduced further.

just got a black ZL, hopefully i wont regret it
