Try to check online those slim subwoofers. There are some available and they can be costly.

8" pioneer ones are very affordable... but thing is how big is the space you've got?

if its under seat, unless it's a 4x4, the space is just very limited... putting a slim sub itself would occupy the whole space normally...

else you have to use 6" but it wont go very low sub bass... normally...

TS said he needs a passive subwoofer to put under his car seat, while not using an amp to power it.

Well, if the depth clearance allow under the front seats then can consider left side put amp & right side put the customized enclosure passive sub, can be done brows.gif

im curious,,,,why?

1- get a sub that requires very small box (i can only think peerless xls10/12),
the box can either a) attached under rearshelf, or b)fiberglassed at the boot corners
both ways can have stock/unassuming look depends on installer

2- go subless, use 6.5-7in midbass @doors that can play midrange smoothly AND good low/bass extension like dynaudio mw170, scanspeak 18w-4531 or seas rw165,,,,,,

because my parent will not happy to see the sub at boot, like seafood car, and they will say it affect the warranty of the car. sad.gif

that why i am limited to changing front and add an amp, because its not very obvious...

btw, where to install the low/bass extension?

It will not consume any trunk space.

Err would putting 2 6" (with built in amp), as in under both 2 seats, give better performance?

typical 6" can goes to 60hz...if ur door got 6" already then not suitable to add 2x6" at seat...if ur front only 4" or below then u can add 6" under seat.....

howiechoo, ok thanks. Yes that's my intention if front speakers is not exceeding 6". Maybe will do that when my amp kaputs or change car.
