credibility is one thing, idea is another. i'm in the hosting business but definitely not so much of an expert in networking. i've got a partner whom i can rely on in terms of programming (JAVA). as mentioned before, this system would be catered for hosting business and i've the network over in US and frankly, few providers are keen in purchasing my idea if my system is out.
now, a winning team is what we called a balance, all around team where we have strong tech, sales and management team. being excel in any of that does not make you a winning team. i personally would say i'm strong in sales because i know hosting business well and tech is what i'm currently lack of.
so, let say you've developed this and that, you are brilliant but if you run out of great ideas especially when it's very hard to get new idea out in this new era with great market demand, sadly to say, VC would not invest in it, i wonder what were you based on for making that comment. you might have great tech but it is not deployable anytime soon or the market isn't ready to absorb it.
tech knowledge is an edge, eventually everything comes down to sales or i would say, they are mutually dependent.
so what i'm saying now, not arrogant but a fact, do you want to join a winning team or to build your own winning team? the latter is what we called employer and the former, 95% of the people out there, employee.

yes, i'm aware that the talents that i need are in the senior post and they are definitely getting good pay. i have nothing but a challenging job and perhaps equity to offer depending on negotiation.
like i have mentioned, you are building a winning team with me, everything starts from 0, everything is based on consensus. if i'm ok, yea, we have a serious game going on, likewise, continue your agenda.
on salary part, i'm being honest again, for so many times, if you expect higher or same pay (not sure what's your pay), sadly to say, i'm gonna turn you down. but im quite sure, at least it should come near. afterall, it's a new start up, you cant expect too high pay. if your CV is up to my expectation, i can chat with you with no obligation you must build the team with me. but if you see the potential of it, i'm sure a lot people out there would join me for the vision that we share despite the lower pay in short-mid run.
as far as the winner you're talking about, i'm just 23 and managing my business while studying. in 2 yrs, i've got ultraunix.net to be ranked as 23rd in malaysia. i wont say its impressive but at least it marks as a milestone for me and definitely something to be recognized of.
1) Check your ultraunix web site. The demo id is not working..
2) To be precise, you are strong in selling at hosting business. You are NOT strong in selling. If you are really good in selling, you would have realize it like I do, you have NO SALES PITCH in your posting to get people to join you.
3) As per my comment on VC, I have friends working in VC and startups. My brother had started 3 companies in USA and sold two. I worked in this industry for 20 years. And, I am talking about American VC.
4) Okay. People will not be getting high pay and you will expect people to be talented. Now, what do people get in return of participating in your vision??
5) Winning team?? I know it when I see it. Other than that, I cannot describe it.
6) Idea?? I had seen too many great ideas with lousy execution and they failed. And, I had seen so so idea but they had great execution and they evolved into great idea. In general, for a startup, you need to have great sense to know what the market / customers is telling you. You evolve and surf with the wave. You change if your first idea is not working out.
7) Have you read the book "Crossing the chasm"?
Anyhow, I wish you best of luck. If you need my help, pm me.
