Double decker bus for urban use is popular in Singapore and Hong Kong. It is great way to increase capacity while not adding into congestion.

Normal ones are all Scania K250 to Kuantan and Penang smile.gif

Brand for double decker, so far unknown.

2013 = 80 buses, all Scania

2014 = 80 single deck. 40 double decker, brand unknown.

Back in May 2013, Prasarana ordered 360 K250 buses for whole Prasarana operation (not just for Penang).

As far as European brand is concerned, in my opinion, can rule out Volvo liao laugh.gif

Why not Volvo? I see they make good hybrid double decker buses.

My recent London trip involves many times riding that Volvo in my earlier post. I like that the engine will shut down when picking up passengers, then starts moving on purely electric before diesel kicks back in again after reaching a certain speed. Very efficient, more comfortable and quiter ride smile.gif

I think 'Borismaster' has lower odds than a Volvo laugh.gif

Damn shame sad.gif

I think introducing these new double decker buses is a perfect opportunity to intro hybrid drivetrain in Prasarana's fleet.
