I could be very wrong, I read Chinese but I hope for an English version as well but they normally list if there is other languages in the disc, like heavenly sword.

When GT4 came out, i bought the Asian version. Some of the wordings and term in the game is in English. but stringfellow bought Japan version of gt4, and the whole game is in Japanese, including the cars' name. we had trouble finding the right Merc from the car list.

no lah, i have no issue with ps2 compatibality, i got japan gt3, japan gt3c, asian gt4, asian & jap gt4p. so i got no problem . big problem is : MONEY

i think simple menu will be easy to understand and sites like gtplanet will probably have translations for the screens

EvoHahn, in GT4 (Asian ver) for PS2, are the names of the cars in Chinese as well? Coz, based on what u mentioned regarding the mixture of Chinese & English terms used in GT4 (Asian ver), i think it will apply for GT5:Prologue (Asian ver) as well i guess.
