Yup. I think they have the best deals in town for:
- Fotile (even better if got it when they participate in a fair, so to bundle with the extra warranty and extra lucky draw gift from Fotile HQ.)

- Grunfos pumps

- Johnson Suisse WC (I didn't get my JS Lago and Venezia from Zean as I've got a similar deal from Ga Hing after some nego, ordered sekaligus when I shopped for tiles. Btw, price for JS taps and other accessories from Zean is not as good as Ga Hing's fair promotion price).

- 3M filter (i didn't get this brand)

- Cabana and Sorento (didn't get these either)

Things i get from GH:
i) JS for all bathroom taps, bidet, shower heads and rails, mixer, WC and bathroom basin.
- I get 50% off all JS bathroom accesorries (excluded WC and basin). Compared with others, GH is cheaper. They manage to give good price on JS coz they really have volume. Went to collect something from their warehouse in Kuchai Lama, very big warehouse they have with many pallets of JS stocks!

iii) all my tiles except peranakan tiles and tiles for feature wall of shared bathroom.
- reasonable price for all brands and i got 30% off for Niro Granites. As they are a big comp, i have less worry on hanky panky things...Eg. I heard that buying from Ipoh rd got to be careful sometimes, some unethical vendors (not all vendors of course) will mixed grade B tiles into grade A's tiles and offer very low price to lure customers. I'm not sure how true is this saying, pls don't quote my name.

However, i find that only one or two sales guys there are keen to serve (I'm refering to their branch in Old Klang Rd). A Bangladeshi is very good and hardworking on assisting customers on tiles selection, but for other fittings stuff, he is not good in guiding the selection. There is a chinese guy quite good. Other staffs are passive, not keen to serve and hardly crack a smile on the face. Mine was served by their branch manager that time...

The laminate flooring for the entire 1st floor is done today. Inovar sent over 4 chinese guys and 2 foreign workers. It was a one day work finishing around 5pm.

Trimming for 2 bedrooms' door which I do not change to new ones.

They helped me to cover up the connecting strips for temporary as to avoid damage which could be happened when moving in carpentry and furniture...

I'm using 12mm traffic zone series for floor board and 8mm for staircase.

The staircase without riser hence got to use this type of skirting profile.




Chosen 'supposedly white' skirting but it turns out more to creamy colour compared my wall.... hmm....but still acceptable lar...

Although their warehouse in kuchai, but i still prefer to go to their Old Klang Rd store coz all in one roof unlike their kuchai store which splited into 3 different shop lots..
WC i suggest you to check from Zheilwane first coz his price of JS WC is quite good without the need of hard nego like I said. However, you got to ask him if he provides delivery. GH does provide delivery.

P/s: one more tip, you can ask GH to test several shower heads for you, so that u can see how's the water flow and that very much ease your selection.

Actually, I'm kinda curious how did you guys tell your contractor on what colour to paint on which wall?
To avoid mistakes and confusion, I've sent my contractor the following few pics, plotted out which part and which colour that I want (based on nippon paint colours brochure) . My contractor said he was amazed to see so many polka dots when he opened up the files....guess I'm the first ever client of his doing this...     









Edited: all 'Hush White' colour has been changed to 'Orchid White'. Details on the changes pls read following post.

The first layer of paint was done and I'm kinda satisfied with the chosen colours accept the living room and family hall which has been painted in 'hush white'. The 'hush white' colour is too yellowish/creamy to my liking. It makes the room looks smaller and the walls were looked like those already painted for more than 10 years...
I failed to convince myself accepting the colours so I have to tell the contractor to re-paint it to another brighter colour (orchid white). I think I better change it now since it is just painted the 1st layer, rather than regretting for many years to come living in it...

I just polished the floor. It is indeed very nice and it's actually one of the thing that I'm glad that I didn't change it. The stepping feel is so nice, cooling and smooth without tiling grouts. Mine is in very light beige/peachy tone, hence it matches nicely with any colour of interior including wood pieces. However, there are many marble floor in other places are grey in color (light or dark grey). If it is a grey marble, the color selection (including wall color and furniture) must be very careful...otherwise it will easily turns into an aunty's house.... Personally feel that all tones of marble floor must avoid interior wall with green or light blue tone.
About the centre courtyard:
There is a double volume void area in the house which I call it centre courtyard. It's not entirely covered with roof so that it gives a good ventilation to the house. There is my next project to plant a tree there and cover its entire floor area with pebble stones.

A packet of dry tissue and another is a wet tissue. (RM5 each)
