I also went to Classic Hi Light in Bandar Sri Damansara to get some other general lightings. I've actually paid a RM300 during an exhibition fair in last July to lock the promotional price as they claimed that they are the major distributor of YET Plus lightings. However, very soon after that I found the price that I paid for the YET plus PLC downlight fittings are actually more expensive by RM5.30ea compared to CIMA Lightings. (I'm comparing the same brand, same model here)... So, i've actually overpaid a total of RM58.30 for 11 sets here, with the so called exhibition promotional price!    vmad.gif

Following are things I bought in Classic Hi Light:

- 2 units of 20W sensor outdoor LED spotlights @RM150ea.
Going to put one unit each at front porch and back yard.

- 20W YET Plus Outdoor spotlight, warm white, 1840 lumen, @RM98. This is for my court yard.

- 6" YET Plus round horizontal down lights with 1 pc Sylvania 20W E27 bulb, @RM28/set.
For the comparison apple to apple, CIMA Lighting is selling the same fittings @RM15.70, and Avalon selling the Sylvania bulb @RM7ea. It totals up to RM22.70/set.

I'm using this normal PLC E27 d/lights in all the bathrooms and in the spare room.

- Econlite LED recessed emergency light @RM150ea.
This is a local brand with sirim endorsement. I'm gonna put it at the first floor's ceiling near the staircase.

- Bought an Alpha 56" ceiling fan with incorporated emergency light in the middle @RM360. This is so that we won't get kelam-kabut when blackouts happens.
user posted image
- A Taiwanese made ceiling type motion sensor @RM100. That is to be installed to control the down light at the entrance, so that it will auto lights up once we open the main door and step in.

user posted image
- Lastly, I bought some YET Plus T5, 4' @RM15/set; 2' @RM12/set.
After Classic Hi Light, I went to CIMA Lighting on the same day and bought some Yet Plus 3W (276lumen) LED eyeball for testing.  CIMA is having sales now and I saw some Oxyone led d/lights are selling cheap...

I'll see if it is bright enough using 1pc bulb... I don't need very bright in bathroom and spare room, i like cosy ambience..

Following are what I have in mind and I have already purchased all those lightings..
i) masterbedroom- all led eyeballs on ceiling + table lamps on bedside tables + pendant light near dressing area;
ii) study/leisure room - 4" led downlights;
iii) Living room - combination of one row of T5 L-box + 4"led downlights + eyeballs + floor lamp (will on different combination based on different usage and mood temperature);
iv) dining room - pendant light + led track lights + led eyeballs;
v) foyer - pendant light + led track lights;
vi) kitchen - 4" led downlights + led eyeballs + led light strips underneath kit cab + pendant light above kit island.

Living room ur downlight is on the l-box? Cool.

I gonna put 2 rows of T5 tubes in the same light cove, warm white and daylight. There will be 2 switch to control..daylight is gonna be used only when im reading..

Downlights in living room 2 are on Lbox (but not straight underneath the T5), 2 are not.

Downlights basically are warm white and cool white (light yellow).

Think I'm going too far already.
Anyway, do you think of installing a shower for your roof? It can help cool down your house. Water is cheaper than electric bill.
*
first time i heard this, what is that "shower for your roof"

I think what bro supersound meant is like those sprinkle system installed on the roof. I saw it at one of the hawker street in Kepong and an old timer restaurant in Jalan Meru klang.
It is used in the hot afternoon so that the water sprinkled will cool of the surface when evaporation happens, just like some people like to splash water in front of their house during a hot afternoon.

aaahhh i get it now hmm.gif

Those 20A switches are for airconds, water heaters, oven, hood and hob.
As you can see from the picture which I posted earlier, there are already some black casing 'planted' into the wall when they pull the wires...so, the switches are just gonna sit nicely aligned with the black casing.
Have yours with such inner casing as well? Do you mind to put up some photos here so that we get a clearer picture?

Mine will be touched up later, so it will be covered up and make like the wall. Definitely won't see like a deep hole.
Are you still in the midst of renovating? If yes, I think your contractor will do the touching up too... smile.gif
*
Yep still renovating, but i monitor on my own and have my own worker.. (contractor ran away...i know i know mad.gif )

QUOTE(maxxon @ Feb 23 2014, 02:55 AM)
Do you mean the counter top in bathroom? The tiles are 2'x 2' black galaxy tiles. Those are done by my contractor and tiling by his subcon, uncle botak and wife.
*
is it possible to get the contact?

QUOTE(supersound @ Feb 23 2014, 07:39 AM)
This idea is I get it from some mamak stores, they install water spray on their roof. And open during hot days.
*
ah!

Depends what we want. But something that are funny, during heavy lightning/thunder strike, our electric appliances like TV and PC failed not because of power supply, but from receiver and phone line. I had my PC blow 4 times because of this. And all are from phone line>modem>PC.

maybe need those CAL-LAB Lightning Isolators, to prevent such thing happens? im looking to get it too..

Oh, sorry to hear about the run-away contractor. I'm sure that you have put in quite a lot of commitments into it by monitoring the work yourself. Sure it gonna turns out good! Gambatte-desyo!!

About the tiling sifu, unfortunately I do not have his contact personally and I do not think the main con is willing to release the contact details as the job is obviously bypasses him.... So sorry again I coudn't help...

It gets exciting really! But when the fund is limited can be a bit tricky.

Im waiting for tnb to connect my electric to the meterbox just went to tnb to pay for it..(3phase tho), when there is electricity im going to move in even tho my tabletop and other stuffs not finished yet.. blush.gif

Anyway regarding tiling i fully understand the situation,

For now enjoy your house progress only la.. Haha

Some random updates:-

- Fridge
My 700L glass doors Toshiba fridge (GR-WG76MDA) just came in. Bought it at RM2500, together with all the Mitsubishi airconds.

The clearance when its door is wide-opened. The placement near the island is good for me to put the unloaded things.
user posted image
Got a 12KG rice container and 2pcs Casserole ceramic cook pot as free gifts (for the bill together with airconds). It was supposed to be another thermal cooker but it was out of stock so they will try to get me one later.  tongue.gif
- Outdoor ceiling light
I bought the following NSB light which allows me to use either an energy saving bulb or LED bulb. This light is going to be ON for many hours at night till dawn. It is an energy saving bulb to be started with, so that I can observe how long it can last, before deciding whether it's feasible/worth changing it to LED bulb.

- Grunfos water pump (CM3-4PM) - RM1180
We thought the pump left behind by the previous owner is still working but it broke down just after we ran it for few minutes. It was definitely a bad news, means we just got another thing to spend money on....  sweat.gif
We headed straight away to Builders hardware looking for Zheilwane, knowing that they have the best price for Grunfos pump. Buying things from them is super time-saving. Why? Because No need to bargain, just mention 'chun-kao' in cantonese means 'best deal' and we've got the best price from him.  thumbup.gif

user posted image
It also comes with an anti-vibration rubber pad to be placed underneath the pump.

the pump only rm1180? i tho this pump is 1.5k+
