I bought these peranakan tiles from Terracotta in Glenmarie at rm4.70ea. These tiles are cement floor tiles and was all hand drawn...
http://www.terracotta.com.my
Before this, I nearly buy another type of peranakan tiles which I saw in many tile shops. Those are also with peranakan and victorian design but with embossed pattern and they are thiner, with different material.. Later that I found that those are actually for wall but not for floor tiling as it can't carry our body weight and will definitely break apart... The problem is most tile shop do not know this hence wouldn't be able to tell you this...so, pls take note for those who want to use similar tiles..

Chocolatewhore, I will PM you the contact once mine complete... smile.gif

Haha....thanks ya..it's definitely a great feeling knowing that I've now have at least one good "fan-see" here... laugh.gif  rclxms.gif

I have not been updating this thread much as I was not feeling well lately...

About the plaster ceiling, mine is quite a simple ones actually with most of it flat ceiling, except for a row of cove lighting in living room and a L-box in the kitchen to cover up the original beam before extension. Will take some photos and show it here later.

Bought 2 HCE faucets. One bigger and another smaller. Both are matt finished.
Decided to use 2 taps on the sink as I think it gonna be more convenient especially that I do not have a dry and wet kitchen.

Collapsible scissor grill:

The grill was installed by Three Kim last 3 days.
Charges as below-
10' x 8.5'H - RM1530
Sand surface powder coat black (RM6/sqft) - RM510

was looking for a grill like this. but my contractor said black is a bad choice as repeated use would cause it to scratch off where the hinges are. so he advised me to go for the original metal look.

did you installer mention this? i really want it in black sweat.gif

Original silver color not nice leh..can try black coated?
*
I know laaaa, but was afraid that the worn off silver would look bad.

QUOTE(maxxon @ Mar 5 2014, 04:38 PM)
Oh really? Haha...haven't got experience with that...  tongue.gif
I paid some extra for the powder coating, hope it can be more durable...not sure if we can later spray it with color spray or not... hmm.gif
Anyway, i'm choosing the black color for its vintage touch...so if the color happens to be worn off abit...i shall just take it as the natural vintage features... wink.gif
*
true that! think i'll just go ahead with black.

May I know where did you buy this floor trap? It cost RM23.50? Thanks.
*
just a warning: this floor trap looks good, but drainage is terrible. my contractor mistakenly installed it in my shower area and the water can't go down fast enough.

you can buy it at Builders Hardware, Kepong.

The wall was done by the contractor's worker who did my entire hse painting too... They took a few hrs on that. Instead of using brush, they use a scraper like shown in earlier post to achieve the effect...Haven't got the final bill so no idea on the workmanship charges yet... Where as for the paint material, it should be less than rm300 for my wall... Yes the effect is very nice and i personally think that I will probably less likely to get bored of it so soon compared to the brush stroke shimmering type....  tongue.gif

it's really nice. regret not seeing this before i got cement render for my walls… so expensive cry.gif

You did the cement rendering? How was it? Successful? How much they charge you?
*
it doesn't even look as good as your paint. price pdf can't remember now, but for whole living room wall, kitchen wall, was about RM5k.
