QUOTE(Lord Tiki Mick @ Sep 6 2013, 10:23 PM) so senja is what? Lol why angry? I didn't see any need to mention it earlier cos OP was asking in terms of clock time. Senja is dusk in english, i.e. when the sun sets. Also subuh = dawn. For both these words in BM and english, the usage is similar. It denotes a phase of the day, but no one uses it together with clock time. Ppl say "bangun waktu subuh/6 pagi" and not "bangun 6 subuh". Similarly, "wake up at dawn/6 in the morning", not "wake up at 6 dawn".

QUOTE(siksa @ Sep 7 2013, 01:08 AM) am = morning pm = evening Wrong. am = ante meridian (before midday) pm = post meridian (after midday) Nothing to do with the concept of phases e.g. morning, afternoon or evening. 1 - 5 pm is still afternoon in English. You pernah dengar anyone from UK or US say 1 pm in the evening? Afternoon in English != petang in BM.
