the answer is no.
drop in air filter work the way same wif ur stock air filter.
just to increase the air flow rate and filter more dirts.
its protect and maximize the performance of ur engine,
shudn hv any growl at all.
if yes, ur stock air intake system must have some problem already.

u asking cleaner kit or air filter?

the cleaner kit i selling is K&N Recharger(include cleaner + reoil)
which is normally sell in shop outside for K&N filter user.
in K&N website there are 2 types
1 is spray oil 99-5000 and another is squeeze oil 99-5050,
the one i selling is 99-5050
include 8 oz. Squeeze Oil, 12 oz. Filter Cleaner and Service Decal.
1 cleaner kit can use for a few times
take iswara carb filter E-9199 as example,
the K&N website show Filter Re-Oiling Amount: 0.47 oz
the cleaner kit reoil bottle got 8oz. biggrin.gif

this is because for open pod setup,
the location of air filter and air ram setting is better to be done on the spot.
and choose the best fit air filter.
as customer's satisfaction is wat we most concern,
we wan to avoid mistake which will waste customer's money and time.

my car iswara 1.3. the carb is 1.5 from wira, just install, the prob is the previous air filter with tapak cannot fit into the carb. my carb intake shape like shell logo. not rounded. so i think y not use this k&n stuff.
coz i m currently upgrading/refreshing my car parts sikit2 lah.

all 4g13/4g15p carb is using same stock air filter box.
the black filter box where the intake is in front the extractor.
the one i selling here is the drop in type
as shown in first page

this is when the box opened and put in the K&N drop in filter,
the filter box must put back b4 u start the engine.

if ur car doesn come wif this filter box,
then ure using the open pod so called mushroom filter already.
if u wan to buy my K&N drop in,
u hv to find back 1 ori 4g13/4g15 carb air filter box.

Can feel the better acceleration, and power from my little fish (Kelisa Auto) after changing to this filter. And save a little on my fuel too. Used to get about 230km from RM30 (@ RM1.92/L), now I get about 250km from RM30 (@ RM1.92/L) travelling my normal routes.

ya, drop in type actually won produce any extra sound if compare to ur stock OEM filter,
and this is the reason some ppl choose drop in becoz they prefer a quiet family car but still hv some performance. laugh.gif

Thanks for the filter , i have installed it in my car (Altis 1.8G) and have been running for around a week now. For now i do feel that the car is more responsive , however it think it might need more time for my ECU to adjust to take in more air.

My friend installed it in his Ford Lynx 1.6 as well .. and he is very happy with it ..

a car engine run by the power burning of fuel + air
so every car hv a air intake system
but to keep the engine powerful and long lasting,
we hv fuel filter and air filter the filtering the dirts before entering the engine
so the concept is air filter must filter well the dirts

but nowadays ppl r looking for more performance,
traditional standard air filter is make of paper,
which filtration rate is quite good,
but at the same time the air flow rate is very low.
so to hv a good filtration air filter, we hv to sacrifice the air flow hence results in power lost.

so, aftermarket air filter brand develop air filter which is good in filtration, and also higher air flow rate.
famous among all the aftermarket brand was K&N and HKS perhaps
K&N is famous wif its long lasting air filter, which last for lifelong!
and HKS is famous wif its super high air flow rate,
but somehow some ppl claim tat its filtration is very bad.

talk about money value, standard stock filter need to be changed every 10000-15000km used.
for K&N, it last for life long, never need to change again. but of course u need to do some cleaning and reoil job.
if u plan to use ur car for long time,
change a K&N filter might save ur maintainance money as well

Like the performance.

performance drop in filter + iridium spark plug is very good basic upgrade
which smoothen ur ride and maybe provide lower FC as well! biggrin.gif

and I must say, if u use to do so, try to rev ur RPM,
u will found something amazing.. laugh.gif

beside a little more milleage,
u get better engine performance,
longer lifespan of ur engine parts,
cheaper maintenance where dun need to change ur air filter regularly and also iridium spark plug can last longer!

so only u can check it

please take out ur stock filter and measure its lenght, width, and height
from the outer edge of the black plastic
and compare wif this K&N filter size
it must be EXACTLY the same

K&N 33-2672

so far the supplier and dealer haven announce any model for myvi 1.0/1.3
so i'm quite doubt will it be fit.

yes it is very easy to install into ur kelisa
but the manual doens hv actual pic for installation for kelisa
as K&N themselve dun even know kelisa is using this filter...
they produce for other japan make car one...
only is tat kelisa use the same filter so can use..hehe

but anyway don worry
if u duno how to install
just bring it to workshop during ur next service
they will install for u one.
as they normally have to take out ur stock filter to clean also..

The K&N filter part number is E-9173 if you still can't open the link but I've tried the link and it works. This filter is for Daihatsu G11 CB-23 engine, my cousin is driving that car. K&N has a filter for that model but not sure whether it is still available right now b'coz Speedworks used to sell it but then lately, they only sell limited ranger, mostly cater for the more popular and common models. Hope you can check and let me know. Thanks!

u got the filter for 1.5 wira carb? drop in filter, the model is e-9199 i think(according to ur 1st post). if u have, i might want that. Also, u got the UFO type 1for my wira 1.5 carb? if use that, need to fix CAI hose rite? if not will fell power lost rite?? which is better, the drop in or the UFO type??

yes u are right
K&N drop in filter just like ur stock filter
so just do it as the same as u replace ur stock filter.

u dun need any other thing as well.
only thing u need is to get K&N cleaning kit and service ur K&N filter every half to a year depend on ur usage

as u can see on the plastic seal
it stated "factory pre-oiled"

becoz all K&N filter must work wif oil on the filter to catch the dust
oil on the border is normal as well as it work as sealant btw the filter and ur filter box to avoid air go in from there instead of go thru the filter.
if ur K&N filter looks completely dry already then u'll need to wash and reoil it already

i dun own a shop, i running business base in online so that i can cut off the cost and offer my products in lower price.
i do not provide installation as well coz this drop in filter is very easy to install urself.
but if u are really not sure, just bring it to ur workshop during ur next car service, they will replace for u without any additional charge.

but we don do installation as this filter can be install urself very easily

I own a hyundai elantra 1.8A 2001 and just want to confirm that once I use this filter i only need to wash it every 50k km. No need to replace a new one ? Also how long will it last ? and how much for my car.. thanks

i using poslaju courier, which they dun provide such service.
normal courier company dun hv too.
for courier method u must paid the full amount to me first.

anyway currently i dun hv any plan to visit KL in this year.
if u dun really feel comfortable wif online buying

put in the stock filter box.

open pod is replace the whole filter box to a cone or mushroom shape air filter intake
