when you go to a store, (i recommend ALL IT Hypermarket) at LowYat floor 3, just tell them you have a socket 775 processor and you want to get a new Heat Sink Fan (HSF) and tell them you want a quiet one, and then they'll teach u there and then

may i ask a stupid question???haha
iam using intel 775 processor fan,it damn noisy lo~~can i juz buy the normal fan to replace the noisy fan??any idea??or need to change whole things de??my badget not that much~

You can't change the fan on the stock heatsink.
Even if you can, you will raise the temperature of your processor and that will shorten the life of your processor.

Best way is to change into a 3rd party CPU heatsink that can cool your processor more but in the same time, it'll help you make your system go silent. smile.gif

My advise is to get Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro.
It's the cheapest 3rd party CPU heatsink for your system, but still can out perform the stock heatsink even when the fan on the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is on silent mode.

What's your maximum budget anyway? blink.gif

Well, for one, there are some people who prefer passive cooling though and this is one of them that can do wonders..

The HR01 is already one of the very know passive cooler around. Wonder how well would this PLUS version performs..

yes yes i know there are some prefer passive.but i wonder y TR didnt make it in both worlds la.come on is it tooo darn hard to design a fan clip for the HR01 plus?as shawty said TR stuff always award winning rite?maybe later they came out with HR01 EXTREME laugh.gif with fan clip adapter doh.gif

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is just around RM110 - RM115.

3rd party cooler doesn't mean it have to be used for high end pc.
Who told you that? laugh.gif

You complained your stock heatsink is noisy.
But, changing the fan on the stock heatsink is not an option.

I just gave you an idea.
If you can withstand the noise, then go on.

3rd party cooler means for those that want cooler processor yet they can choose the noise that they want, be it silent or noisy again.
And the freezer 7 pro is just an option to make your processor go cooler yet more silent than the stock heatsink.

FYI, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is the cheapest 3rd party cooler for LGA775 CPU. Yet, it works like a charm.
If you say that the price for Freezer 7 Pro is expensive, wait until i tell you the price of more high end aircooling heatsink such as Thermalright IFX-14.

Now there's only two option, yet, both has return on what you choose.

Option 1:
Use speedfan to control the speed of your stock heatsink.
Pros: More silent
Cons: hotter processor thus shorter life for your processor.

Option 2:
Change to 3rd party cooler
Pros: your processor is cooler, your system is less noisy, and your processor lives longer.
Cons: you have to spend your money.

You choose. smile.gif

I got my Freezer 7 Pro from C-Zone at RM110 only ...

Work like charm here .. I'm more happier than using TR HR-01 right now ..

Smaller size that doesn't sacrifice the performance yet silent ..

It's cheap compare to stock cooler that doesn't does the job too well ...

Especially when pushing in the pin, i dont know how to determine whether the pin really locked... i wan buy another hsf for my brother but i i scare he dont know how to install the big typhoon vx and screw it up..
