all sifu sifu sekalian, need your help

i'm using pentium D 805@ stock speed which is 2.66ghz
currently using noctua hsf
when i was using stock hsf,the idle temp is around 47, max load only 52-55
but after i switch to noctua, idle is slightly better @44, but when i max load, i can reaches 58 rclxub.gif i was scared so i let it cool down,so far havent really try to stress it

any idea what's wrong with it?

Added on July 5, 2007, 6:28 pmnow my temp seems to be better, but i still feel a bit weird
now the idle temp can reach as low as 39C, but the peak is still quite high,i'm not sure whether its the sensor is not accurate or its really that hot
the situation its like this

when i run a game, the temp can reach 58C according to MSI core centre, but the cooldown is damn fast, from 58, within 3 seconds, the temp will drop to 51, then within another 3-4 sec, the temp will drop to 49 and so and so

so what u guys think?

Hey guys, am quite a n00b to cooling.
It's an old pc, but i had to change the mobo and casing.

it's now a medium tower casing running the following :

P4 2.0Ghz
2x 512mb DDR Ram
40gb 5400 RPM HDD
250gb 7200 RPM HDD
Samsung CD-RW
ASUS DVD-ROM
128mb Radeon 5200 GPU
5.1 Creative Live! Sound Card
6 USB ports all used up
Silverstone Strider ST400 400W PSU

All i can say is that everything is overheating , especially my 250gb HDD

The casing only has 2 grills for fans - rear and left side
i'm planning to get two 92mm fans , but i'm not sure which air flow i should do.

Hope someone can help me out

the casing dun have front intake ka? check it properly. if it has, so the front should be intake while side and rear as exhaust. anyway, side also can be used as intake.

the fan can be put there, but of course lesser airflow since it doesnt have any ventilation holes to suck in the air. send your case to uncle ianho la, ask him to make a top blowhole for you brows.gif

If you very rajin laa using high grit sandpaper. But use either autosol+zippo fluid combo or very sour tomato sauce (HEinz comes to my mind now)
