Alcatel appears to have done a pretty good job of incorporating handwriting recognition into its firmware -- for instance, our rep drew up a complex mathematical equation (at an awkward angle, making for below-average penmanship), which the phone processed accurately within a couple seconds. As you'd expect, you'll also have the opportunity to take notes, sketches and plenty of other stylus-worthy activities
QUOTE
we've noticed that the company has put a much higher amount of focus on quality

QUOTE
If you've suddenly discovered yourself wanting this particular device, you may need to hold off for a bit. The Hero will first roll out in China and Russia next month, with further expansion to other regions taking place at a later date. An LTE model is also in the works, but it isn't going to get to any market until 2014 at the earliest.

no idea with the RRP yet..

based on the specs and design, nothing could go wrong with this device, except that i think it don't support LTE? hmm.gif

i'm eyeing on this now.. if the price cheaper than most mainstream, i think i will go for it.. because i read e-book quite a lot.. this device can give me 3 in 1 : smartphone+tablet+kindle!

Alcatel may not be popular in terms of mobile phone manufacturer but it's still one of the known telecommunication players in the world.

Good? Actually nothing better.. Reading on my Kindle paperwhite enable me to read more.. Lcd screen really hurts eyes.. And e ink paper consume very little juice.. So means that, by utilizing the e ink cover during reading will definitely saves battery..

lower the brightness on LCD reading helps alot on the eyes. I do that alot on my iPad mini.
with e-link, it should reduce the effect further more.

Uncle Benny's username is benny888.

There is no mention of the digitizer technology apart from saying "active".

Some reviews will be good for a comparison vs note3.

I believe this will be a good enough kind of device with note functionality.

Price?

Cpu type is also not mentioned but it could be an s4 or mtk6589 hopefully the T revision.

My device always set to very minimum and adaptive back light setting.. But still bright and tiring for prolong readin.. And e ink is the best when under sunlight.. Most importantly the reading feel, u feel like u are looking at paper.
