I seriously question this thread's sincerity. In most job application forms, there is a section for contact numbers of next of kin. Company HRs will attempt to contact this number in the event of any emergencies.

You don't just simply put out someone's phone number with some emergency story and ask strangers to call. Firstly it is not professional. Secondly it may constitute as harrassment if this story turns out to be fake, and this kind of case is an indictable offence (meaning you can go to jail).

I hope for the person who raised this issue that this is a genuine case.

In a way he succeeded. Just look at how many here offering advise on surgery and all so serious again
