I got few old crack lappy... MMX 166Mhz.

The LCD screen still working.... fine ... no dead pixel. maybe refresh rate quite low. I want use the LCD for my PC repair center. mount the lcd into wall.

Anybody can help to fine it.

If the thing cost a BOOM, better i buy 2nd 15" lcd coz rm350++.

n since were on the topic of notebook lcd panels.... anyone here knows how to connect old notebook lcds to the a PC's graphic's card (VGA-out) ????

that's the problem, each LCD uses different type of LCD panels and different controllers.
if it doesnt have the standard VGA connection, then chances are it's really hard to make it

can be done ... but the cost is my concern. Anybody have faulty LCD monitor? so i can buy the lcd controller inside.

Would like to add that for old notebook LCD's....say more than 3 years ago. The pin-out is different for every single panel...some might even require custom drivers. So...let's just say its not easy.

So...would suggest finding out the part number/model of your panel...google....pray that there's the pinout somewhere out there on the net.

the pinout ... can be modded if got it output.

my uncle also have that model. the notebook died because of lightning.

i got a dell notebook thats dead....

was thinking of ripping it apart, but then....

i googled around and i dunt think its easy to mod it, u might have to get a controller for it ( if the original controller is integrated in the notebook) .

Anyone successfully tried this mod out ??

My controller built in with notebook mobo.

dunno....its just utterly slow...and takes forever to load into windows.... no one has any use for it so i decided to take it apart and salvage what i can

Have seen the computer shop near my house done it b4....desktop wif notebook lcd display...how he connect i dunno la.

As For Me, there is nothing to salvage from the notebook except for the casing and lcd .....

Mine is also integrated. everything in the slim type is integrated...darn..

i think the processor is also built in to the mobo....
