i use this broker only because it has low min deposit and super high leverage. but truth is this broker abit problem nia. i dont want to spoil other people's business but when the price move too fast or sudden volume spike, sure disconnect. every single time. if just want to play2 ok la. if for real trading better find other broker.

there's some data different with mine haha.

Hello there sifus, I was previously a trader, learned all I can from some pros and ciao'd. (My master went balls out, took 3k USD from the market in 1 minute, LIVE, in and out, i will never forget that moment) chump change for him, but can feed us for 2 months.

As previously the firm did the registering of accounts and all that for me, i dont know squat on how to do it for myself. Sifus sekalian here got any platform to recommend? I plan to go back in with 1k USD and see what i can do. smile.gif
*
Hi there, since your sifu got some skill why don't you join him back?
MT4 is widely used. Some broker did offer different platform just depends which one is more suitable and comfortable for you.
Like me, I dunno how to use MT4.

Register with broker is easy, mostly required copies of IC, proved of address, credit/debit card copies (if you fund using cards).

Btw, find yourself a regulated broker to make sure your fund is in the safe hand.
I'm using FxPro, quite a number member here using FxPrimus.

My own experience, don't join instaforex.

yes you can change the tp/sl by using the modify, the modify limit depend on what broker that you use.
For me fxprimus has the minimum st/tp which set at 30pips.

have fun to play on forex .
*
my broker FxPro has no limit. you can set what ever number you want =x

QUOTE(cpleng7 @ Sep 26 2013, 10:44 AM)
haha... actually with/without limit also have their own benefit, it depend on what trading strategy that you use.

I prefer use 1:3 trading method, which is place 30 pips as stop lose, 100 pips as winning pips.
1:3 rule trading strategy
- place a stop lose 1, take profit is 3 times
    - for example : I am always use put stop lose 30 pips , take profit 100 pips.

- let say in a 10 times trade, 3/10 times you win only , other 7 times you lose for it
    - eventually you are the winner for this event
    - calculation : win 3 times * 100pips = 300pips
                        loose 7 times * 30pips = 210 pips
total 10 times you still win 90 pips.
In forex 1 minute chart trading , there are no 100% sure win method, with the above strategy we can get what we need in a month.

So don't wait for it, we play forex together , share out all posible winning pips in here, if we hit 3 times , then we confirm win in this month.
*
I agree with your method where I'm using this method too.

this is how martingale/position-sizing user believe how forex market works
in fact they say only need 1 win out of 10 trades to make profit
i ve seen 14 consecutive losses and 25% drawdown.. thats where i stop position sizing. that was 5 years ago
*
martingale sometimes is still prove useful.
thats how MMs do the job.

martingale and MM is like something we cant mixed up nicely. when martingale is getting bigger, the smaller MM we have
but everyone has their own preference.. thats it  nod.gif
*
Market Maker use martingale to build their base.
They still using it always.

We got no enough bullet to build base like the MMs does.
So just use other better method. like 1:3 risk:reward

I see, so if the price falling back from the highest profit, will the stop loss falling back also?
*
let say your TP +100pips, SL -30pips.
from the time you enter the position, now you gaining +70pips; to secure some of the profit, you moved your SL to +40pips.
thats means if the price only move to +80pips, but not yet hitting your TP but move the other way already.
You still can secure a +40pips from that trade itself, so you still earn that +40pips rather then losing -30pips.

Now i understand. Thanks biggrin.gif

So normally how you guys take profit? Using trailing stop to let the profit run or you guys preferred close the order once profit reach your target value?
*
Both ways dude.
We're not god, we can't predict future price.
Sometimes we look at the market and challenge for more pips, Trailing Stop works fine here. (Still secure positive pips here, rather than negative pips)
Sometimes is just take and run mode.

Which ever it is, the final result is positive pips then is good enough.

Republican gave up their skirmish? NFP is coming up too, Mr Ben is probably having a huge headache right about now
