QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Dec 3 2015, 10:01 AM) Poorfag can only use cheap cheap like mitsubishi.. But the actual question is, can i just let the air above plaster ceiling or must ducting out? What will happrn if not using ducting? Mold grow above the plaster ceiling? Of course Lor. You channel the moist to another trap area.

Cost wise apart, anything to do with heated exhaust and oil some more at that Alu better. Pvc itself will be breeding ground for bacteria that feeds on the oil residue that collect on the pipes. The sad thing is that they don't restrict the piping flex just for the bends. Ideally the straight part should be smooth without the pleat/kedut-kedut. That's the part where after fan is turned off, the oily fumes and air borne dust will collect and pond.

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 3 2015, 08:43 AM) Yes, you can combine. Pretty normal in industrial and restaurant. I don't no what is the reason you can't combine. 4-5m is rather long. Which you alu duct will create a lot of resistance to the air. so first 6ft or so i use the alu duct, then after that i combine with zinc/steel duct (smooth surface)? do i need any combiner to combine them? or just use tape?
