Hi all, been a silent reader for a while now since getting my HTC One 2 weeks ago.
Anyways, I am coming from HTC One X. And the term S-Off is really alien to me.
I read some articles that S-Off can mask/remove/whatever the bootloader lock status (unlocked/relocked).
My question is, let's say if I just unlock the phone via HTCDev and proceed on flashing like normal, and when there's a need to RMA the phone, can I just do an S-Off and try to mask/remove/whatever the bootloader lock status?
And last question, if I only unlock via HTCDev, will I still need to flash the boot.img manually? I couldn't find/missed info about this.
Thanks.
if u want to remove bootloader status, yes u need s-off but if u on Hboot 1.54...don know how u can s-off...currently only hboot 1.44 can s-off....
to remove relock mark on bootloader, u must pull out mmcblkp from phone then edit it with hexeditor...i still no luck with it...
then u can flash stock RUU firmware.....all done, sent to SC....
