Yup, the phone heats up quite hot especially when using as a mobile hotspot. The metal body conducts heat better, thats why you feel that its hot. My SGS3 when using as mobile hotspot also gets VERY hot, but due to its plastic body does not feel so hot. Better for the metal body to get hot than plastic trapping the heat inside.

IMHO, phones are not to be used as mobile APs for long periods of time. Long time ago I used a HTC Touch Diamond as mobile AP plugged in, and the thing kaputted not long after.

A friend of mine using Note 1 charge and play 3D games at the same time, after 9 months battery bengkak. Changed new one and did the same. Bengkak again...

YMMV. Best try to keep things cool... Just because it CAN do something, doesn't mean it should do it for extended time.

i see.. but did urs heat up when charging only?
not sure whether the battery doctor app is messing around with the charging cos in the first phase is speed charging (quickly charge up to 80% by increasing voltage)... using ori charger also cause the heatup even with the charger adapter itself. shocking.gif
