Better give yourself 4 weeks to 6 weeks for camera replacement. Call center is quite clueless.  I send my HTC One in to SENq on 18th August. I call after 2 weeks say processing. Call again 2nd September say inspection for drop and moist . told me that they received the set 29th August. Next week call dont know what they will say liao.
I am patient because got spare phone to use. Otherwise complain straight to HTC HQ taiwan already.

Hi bros and sis who are facing the camera issue (purple tint for photos taken under low light condition),

I have previously sent my phone to SiS Service Centre in Kelana Jaya for replacement of the camera module on 16/08/2013 and was informed by the service representative that the process would take approximately 3 to 4 working days. As expected, unfortunately, the phone repair process took much longer than expected.

Long story ahead, on my experiences dealing with SiS

Now, the most important update from my experience above: I was informed by the same service representative that the camera issue has not been resolved, and from my understanding, even if we did replace the camera module, it is only temporary fix. The issue will still come back in the future.

So, boys and girls who planned to replace the camera module, do think twice, ask yourselves:
a) does the camera issue affect/irritate you to the point that you can't tolerate it anymore?
b) are you willing to risk the other possible issues that are attributed to the technician, that may arise after the repair process?

If your answer is yes to both the questions, then please proceed to send your phone for repair, but be prepared to face the above situation that is bugging me now.

Hi all,

Here's an update. I called the helpline yesterday (09/09/2013) and they informed me that my phone has been repaired and can be collected. I went to Kelana Jaya, and the service representative took a bit of a time to find and get the unit from the engineer-in-charge. Fortunately, this time around the condition of my phone was much more acceptable, with no visible scratches on the top and sides, and most importantly, there were no other damages done to my phone.

I gladly took back my phone. Just hoping that the purple tint issue will not come back to haunt me. sweat.gif
