i just picked up my replacement unit this afternoon..i tested the camera on the spot and it was fine..but, when i reach home and i take a few pictures in the dark, i have some red dots in the pics..and when i on flash the photos doesn't have red parts but the photos are not focused properly..is this the purple tint issue everyone is talking about?

i tot HTC one max going to launch in IFA? anyway, the note 3 design language like note 1 and z1 looks like z. the htc one is still very unique in terms of design. when i have more pocket money perhaps i will go back to uncle sammy. i think the most attractive one in IFA is the sony QX10 and QX100. Other all no surprises.

Same here. I bought HTC One because it can be one hand operation. If buy HTC One Max then no meaning already. If I want big screen, I might as well use my Xperia Z Ultra.

Congrats on a new thread. smile.gif It's great to hear that some of us still us BlinkFeed haha. Haven't touch Flipboard for really long time now. It's very convenient for it to stay on the most left screen page. Hmm anyways I do wonder if our One will finally get to enjoy some KitKat now that it's been announced. tongue.gif

Bro Jloi, the QXs can take really good pictures? in par with DSLR? if yes, i might wanna get it.. if just improve from phone camera but not in par with DSLR, i might not, considering the price, because already have DSLR as well. in par i mean comparable, or course not better. laugh.gif

Won't be par. DSLR still has the larger sensor (APSC and FF). The QX100 only 1" sensor which is same size with Sony RX100, RX100MII, Nikon J and V series. The 1 inch' sensor not even bigger than micro four third sensor but they are on par with.

user posted image

So I would say 1" sensor more on par with micro four third.

Above compact class. It is still better than Nokia pureview 808 and Lumia 1020 in terms of sensor size.

To put it simple, we have this category sensor size

1/3" (normal phone camera sensor size)
1/2.3" (normal budget compact cam sensor size) This is where QX10 sensor is and also Sony Xperia Z1, Samsung Galaxy Camera and Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom
1/1.7" (High end compact camera like Panasonic LX series, Olympus XZ series)
1/1.2" (Nokia pureview 808 size)
2/3" (high end compact like Fujifilm X10/X20)
1" (high end compact (Sony RX100/RX100MII) or mirrorless (Nikon J & V series) This is where QX100 sensor is
4/3" (mirrorless sensor size for all Panasonic and Olympus series)
APS-C (Sony NEX, Samsung NX, entry lvl and mid range DSLR)
Full Frame aka 35mm (High end DSLR with Sony RX1 and RX1R as exception for being fist compact with full frame sensor).

There are some sensor size also sit in between but they are not common size laugh.gif

haha is ok. But the QX100 is great even it is 1" sensor only. It has Carl Zeiss optic and f1.8 for low light brows.gif

Here something to read to know more sensor in camera smile.gif

http://www.gizmag.com/camera-sensor-size-guide/26684/

Size is not the only factor, imaging processing and good lens optic also distribute the factor for good quality image.

But afterall, just enjoy shooting with what u have. If not, give you a 30k DSLR also no point laugh.gif

just reporting back in new thread after 2 months of use.

No case, no SP, no chipping, no scratches. I'm a happy semi-hardcore user, very happy with the durability of this phone.

Oh not magnetic mount. Just a bracket that mount on it only. It is very stable and won't drop out.

Is possible as the Beats logo is very poorly printed and can be easily removed. Few users in the earlier threads had already reported that it fades with time and some purposely removed it with wiping off with a thinner solution

I peel off already. Nope the logo still there. But when remove the traces/outlines of beats logo does stick to the skin.

But my logo still there intact. Maybe if you don't remove it carefully it will peeled off as well hmm.gif

Good thing for HTC is the app can learn your remote if it's not supported originally. My previous S4 cannot learn like this.

stock TV app can use as air cond remote..just select "Manufacturer not listed" under the TV brand menu and learn everything manually..but not that useful though, can't see temperature, can only increase or decrease temp..

My HTC got some issues. Suddenly there's no signal that my phone can accept.

Try registering on network, and the notification "our sim does not allow a connection to this network".

Have tried to on/off the phone, change from normal to plane mode and back to normal. Select the APN Name. Nothing seems to solve this.

I have tried my Sim Card in another phone, its ok. I've tried another sim card into my HTC One...also the same thing happens.

Any solutions to this problem. Kindly share.

Thanks

Better give yourself 4 weeks to 6 weeks for camera replacement. Call center is quite clueless. I send my HTC One in to SENq on 18th August. I call after 2 weeks say processing. Call again 2nd September say inspection for drop and moist . told me that they received the set 29th August. Next week call dont know what they will say liao.
I am patient because got spare phone to use. Otherwise complain straight to HTC HQ taiwan already.

You dont need any receipt or any warranty card or anything other thing...

If your phone is genuinely register in htc system all you need to do is bring the phone itself to any htc service center..easy as that..i only bring my phone without anything to htc kelana jaya service center to replace my camera for the purple tint problem..send it in on 26 aug and on 6 sept is ready but i dont have the time to collect so will collect in on monday..hopefully the camera is fix...

worst if you don't have any receipt, i think they will just check the date your phone arrived in Malaysia and normally the warranty will start from that date.

Of course, this does not applied to AP sets brows.gif

Hi bros and sis who are facing the camera issue (purple tint for photos taken under low light condition),

I have previously sent my phone to SiS Service Centre in Kelana Jaya for replacement of the camera module on 16/08/2013 and was informed by the service representative that the process would take approximately 3 to 4 working days. As expected, unfortunately, the phone repair process took much longer than expected.

Long story ahead, on my experiences dealing with SiS
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Now, the most important update from my experience above: I was informed by the same service representative that the camera issue has not been resolved, and from my understanding, even if we did replace the camera module, it is only temporary fix. The issue will still come back in the future.

So, boys and girls who planned to replace the camera module, do think twice, ask yourselves:
a) does the camera issue affect/irritate you to the point that you can't tolerate it anymore?
b) are you willing to risk the other possible issues that are attributed to the technician, that may arise after the repair process?

If your answer is yes to both the questions, then please proceed to send your phone for repair, but be prepared to face the above situation that is bugging me now.

doh.gif I sympathize for the experience that u've gone through. Great phone but such a disappointing after sales... & the "purple tint" issue. guess I'll just ignore this issue. besides the purple tint will only surface during very very low light conditions nod.gif

Finally my phone back from repair from HTC. They change the camera module and the back plate (no idea why). The purple camera issue is now gone. And they didnt reflash the phone or reset it. So it is a hardware issue it seems for mine.

But unfortunately I am still having the facebook "Authorization problem" message still. Started since the first factory reset I did... sigh

Then, you should definitely go for otterbox

http://www.otterbox.com/HTC-One-Commuter-S...default,pd.html

Either the commuter or defender series.

I think Note 3 functions quite good. Don't really dig the look ( looks the same as Note 1 and S2 ). Not quite sure about the 'stitches' at the back rclxub.gif

In terms of specs and features very nice. Just hope they don't follow the same route as S4 by rolling out too many versions.

I thought you dig z1? No more? shocking.gif

*
Sad to hear your case....I will update my phone once i get it back...it should be this week...
I do agree that the camera sensor issue may come back again....but I cant tolerate because I need to take pics at dim places...so i took the risk..

If you have such issues, i believe is better you send an email to HTC Malaysia directly, complain at their facebook page

Now that you mention that, those functions normally not that different from others. Just Samsung market it as new functions like they always do.

Hopefully the next generation of z1 will be better. HTC and Sony are catching up. That's good for Android. If always Samsung only not good as well. Too many fanboys nowadays making me sick. whistling.gif

I guess now the only flagship left is One Max. Other than that, no more if i recalled correctly.

My phone sent in directly to HTC BTS on 30th August for repair, power button sunk and camera issue. Just called them and they say ready for collection, I am going to collect now.

Wish me luck guys. if the camera issue still on, I am going tribunal and buying a Z1.

HTC One, great phone, bad quality and service.

Hey guys, just got back my HTC one from service center the purple tint issue for now have been solve..for workmanship wise..I would say I'm impressed..I have a small gap between the speaker cover and screen..after repair I have zero gap lol! The only part that was visible of scratch is the back antenna part..I guess they peel it off that's why I can see some scratches..other than that all is perfect..hopefully the camera would go haywire again

Yesterday night I finally had a chance to test it. Under low light it "seems" to be ok. But under very dark condition (i was in my room with just street lights coming thru my window), there is still blue tint (previously purple). The blue tint pixel seems larger too... but only cover the edges, you can see the camera is struggling to keep this blue infection away.. LOL. The ISO controls however suppress the tinting issue well. Any setting below 800 kills the tint almost entirely, except for some very minor edge light leaks (can ignore). At 800 ISO blue tint starts to show and anything above, the blue tint starts to appear very obvious d. Oh and the same as previously, the hotter the device gets, the more obvious the problem.

I any case, I just accept nia. I dun wan to be out of phone for another 1 month. LOL. Looking forward to QX100 tongue.gif

Frankly speaking, HTC better buck up their game and deliver quality product. The playing field for high end device is very competitive. I love my HTC One, I like the Sense.

A bit concerned with the current drama now with HTC, esp. with the fraud case and management issue.

BTW any of you guys need Screen Protectors for your HTC One? I still got a few kits left. SGP Ultra Clear

Yes and when I went to collect my replacement unit they gave me 2 units(only phone no box) and both have defects..I rejected them and then only they opened another sealed set, but that has defects too..they gave me another replacement but I was an opened box, I didn't mind cause that unit was pretty much flawless..

You can't change it if you use the built in apps from Samsung, HTC, BlackBerry, etc. It does not show if you use the official FB app from the appstore. It only shows if posted from 3rd party apps like Sense and the like.

Hi all,

Here's an update. I called the helpline yesterday (09/09/2013) and they informed me that my phone has been repaired and can be collected. I went to Kelana Jaya, and the service representative took a bit of a time to find and get the unit from the engineer-in-charge. Fortunately, this time around the condition of my phone was much more acceptable, with no visible scratches on the top and sides, and most importantly, there were no other damages done to my phone.

I gladly took back my phone. Just hoping that the purple tint issue will not come back to haunt me. sweat.gif

Just call the helpline this morning, my phone is still under assessment.

It's been more than a week since I sent my phone in and no repair work being carried out. Now I'm wondering whether they run out of parts for the camera module or there are many phones queueing in the service centre waiting for repair. shakehead.gif

Tested in HTC BTS fine. Went home at night test again, kaboom.
Now I test again in office, its ok.

How I test : Put it against black mousepad and turn on camera, it should be pitch black

I read that it could be heat sensitive, e.g. phone/camera chip hot then purple tint will appear. I will test again tonight.

Oo that's good. 3 inputs huh...that's pretty slick. Problem with my YooBao Long March is that most people need the 1A output, not the 2A, so having extra ports will definitely help.

Kinda lost track on the powerbanks thing thanks to all these camera issues flooding the thread. Guess I should be thankful my issue wasn't this camera thing. Maybe I have maybe I don't but so far everyone loves the photos so I'm good.

Oh yeah, just a quick check, how's everyone's Poetic post-replacement? Mine's been awesome although the volume rocker is pretty tight these days, but nothing much to complain about. Still couldn't decide on an SP but so far I think mine's been pretty good thanks to the pouch I bought off from Sakurazzz.

the first one i think is cause by fluorescent light..maybe the rays or something..i have this issue before and one for the forumers explain to me that this is normal..
the second one, some of my pictures turn out that way and i don't think is purple tint..it's normal

that one is due to electrical interference between the fluorescent light and the camera. the thing that u will see when u record a CRT monitor on a video cam. (wavy lines) quite normal, although some cameras/smartphones have filters to eliminate this. laugh.gif

Repost in correct thread.

i'm having some sound issue with my HTC One. The notification sound and generally other sounds become silent or very low volume.

Notification (i.e whatsapp, wechat) - no sound
Alarm - the tone became very soft beep only
Watch movie - the sound also became very soft even thought I've max out the volume for Music and Videos

Changing the sound profile to silent/vibrate and back to normal also doesn't help. I've tried offing the Beats Audio but still same.

Need to resort to restarting the phone only back to normal.

Anyone face similar issue? I have a feeling it's more of a software thing rather than hardware. just gut feeling though..

Hmm, seems like many users are overly concern with the purple tint issue.. for me, so long it doesn't affect my daily pics, I am ok. In fact, quite happy with it so far XD and I rarely take night shot anyway.. but my night shots are ok for me. Hehe

Battery life is ok now, average usage (checking twitter, insta and fb from time to time with whatsapp) can last me a day. I also got anker 6000mah powerbank for standby. Quite happy with it, so far.

The only issue I have is my sim card cannot be detected after I restart >.< although I found a solution, it is still quite annoying.

Overall, I am still very happy with my purchase! But I need more cute casings T.T

Just a report guys.

My HTC One was sent in for service on 30th August 2013
I called HTC help line on the 6th September 2013, and they confirm my unit is ready for collection, so I went and collect it.

When I went to collect my unit, no problems on the spot, turn on camera and put it against a stack of papers on the table, pure black. Went home and tested it and ahhh, the problem is back.

Here are some pictures to share, it is a pitch black room, and the only source of light is the LEDs on the air conditioner.

Yes, its almost non-existant @ ISO 100, but if you understand the function of ISO, higher ISO allows you to take pictures in low-light situation with a faster shutter speed. Higher ISO always result in more grainy pictures, not PURPLISH!

I've also tested different white balance setting, the problem doesn't go away, just changes purple tint to blue tint. So as you can see this is not a software issue, its definitely hardware.

I will be dropping by HTC Service Center again this Friday. We will see if this problem get solved first or the Sony Xperia Z1 comes out first. I don't enjoy getting screwed over after paying RM2k+

Wah, live with it? You pay RM2k for top end device and "live with it"? You're really the boss, i salute you. If more customers like you HTC will survive lah. I just want my money's worth, if you tell me your super duper ultra camera is optimized for low light, then it better not be crap.

My old Nokia N82 can take better pictures. Hell, even the HTC One front camera can take better pictures.

that's why salute you lo. if the company screw me over, no way i am going to roll over and play dead. we shall see. Friday I will go to the SC again and see how. Ready for consumer tribunal.

EDIT: I just called Consumer Tribunal Malaysia, they say you file tribunal against the company/entity you purchased your phone from, and not HTC. So I will get in touch with DiGi before I file tribunal.

My htc one also bought from digi. When found got purple tint problem, Digi ask me direct call HTC say they will collect phone from me. on 03 Sep their courier collect device and sent to KL. Last week call service center they advice need four days do assessment. Today make call they say need two weeks to repair....

If after two week I got same problem again, I will follow yr step to make complaint..... smile.gif

I got test HTC butterfly s, they don't have such issue, look like HTC one camera part is the main reason....

Regarding HTC ONE purple tint issue : here's the latest updated

HTC was aware of the problem a while ago now and has finally made an official response on the subject.

We recently received a single purple color that appears in images taken with the HTC One reports. After reviewing the internal relations, we expect a software update that will enhance the color contrast in low light conditions. As we work to improve this aspect of the user experience, we thank our customers for their patience. Meanwhile, If you encounter this problem, we ask you to kindly contact our customer service for help. “

after 3 months of using it, i dont have any issue with the stock rom. therefore, i didnt root the phone and replace with a custom rom. To me, the stock is very reliable and silky smooth. For those who wanna squeeze extra juice from the snapdragon 600, then you may need to try it.

If you don't mind crap camera in low light, buy it! The HTC Sense is very good, and the phone is very fast and responsive. But remember its a RM2k+ phone with a useless camera in low light.

Definitely not useless in low light. It still performs well in low light. Except for the purple tint on EXTREMELY low light situation / focusing on black/dark areas. smile.gif

Still nonsense. Since when youtube considered news.
As recently as august, htc announced 1 billion marketing campaign. Don't sound like a company going bankrupt.

As recently as august, htc announced 1 billion marketing campaign. Don't sound like a company going bankrupt.

If someone said in youtube samsung and apple going bankrupt so its true as well?  doh.gif
*
Not nonsense, HTC is taiwanese company, the news reported in taiwan news channel and several shows, all exposed out rolleyes.gif

Yup, I think those are very lucky! Extremely lucky. Cause this issue is very widespread.

Definitely not useless in low light. It still performs well in low light. Except for the purple tint on EXTREMELY low light situation / focusing on black/dark areas. smile.gif
*
Er, Extremely low light, low light, to me, same same. If you advertise your camera to excel in low light, yet it f*** up in EXTREMELY low light, what's the point?

Even the front camera fare better!

I won't buy a RM2k+ high end smart phone that cannot function in EXTREMELY low light, it should function all the time. But that's me lah smile.gif

HTC is public listed company. You can always check for the financial status of public listed company since the info is made publicly available.

im sure thats not what he meant
afterall, comparing phone camera to dslr is just crazy
saying so, im sure not everyone is happy paying premium price for something that doesnt work as advertise
(i for one also think that its a piece of shit camera..and htc should really do sth about this)
maybe some of u dont mind, but everyone is entitled to air their opinion here for discussion
lets hope for all our sake that HTC will come out with some solution for everyone rclxms.gif

Wow, /k tard here.

The HTC One's FRONT CAMERA, put HTC One's ULTRAPIXEL CAMERA to shame.
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry63111563

What's the point of ULTRAPIXEL, when everything shows up purple? And yes, I love taking picture of my air conditioner's LED lights in total pitch black, my phone, I paid RM2k for it, I suka la. If you only take pictures in daylight, that's your prerogative.

I switched from a Note 2, definitely the HTC One is better, except the camera and smaller screen and no stylus.

BUT, the smaller screen on HTC One is way ahead in terms of colour, contrast and viewing angle of the Note 2.

Infact I used all the device I mention previously, I found that HTC One screen is really something. Pack so many pixels in such small screen. It's not exactly "small" screen but that size I think it's perfect. S4 is abit too big for me when it come to one hand operation.

My unit doesn't have purple tint so it's good enough for me as long as it's working. Stylus, meh only use once after I purchase my Note 2.

TL;DR its not a manufacturing defect, more likely a defective design

All CMOS sensors will behave this way. Sensitivity to blue/purple is always higher than other colours as blue/purple photons have higher energy per photon (ask your Physics teacher why. If he/she cannot answer ask him/her go back to university).

After that, its a combination of both hardware and software. Its not a fault as in broken stuff, but more of a hardware design issue. Firstly, the front-end gain is high, therefore the noise, in this case blue channel noise, gets amplified.

Next is the software. By right good DSP should tame this aggressive gain and return the blue channel back to reasonable levels. The aggressive nature of this again due to HTC engineers needing to deliver on a promise of great lowlight sensitivity, is the cause of this purplish tint.

In this case, its a mix of both hardware and software design issue. Its not a device failure or out of spec because the specs were specified so by HTC, though it may appear to be a defect. The sensitivity of each individual sensor will be different, and will have slightly different noise floor levels due to the nature of mass production. Thats why some of you sent into warranty and got back a less purple camera module. But this is entirely random, as evidenced by those who claimed warranty, had it replaced, and still have purple.

In any case if there is a defect, it is a defect in HTCs specifications, and a defect in both hardware and software design.

wow, a detail explanation. it seems reasonable to me and i believe the design flaw causing the issue. there is no way to maintain the low light sensitivity and reduce the amplified noise unless the size of the sensor is increased. again, a good DSP and algorithm is a must to reduce the purple tint issue. hopefully htc engineers able to work out on the algorithm and get the issue fixed.

seriously, i dont really mind about the update that we going to get. 4.2.2 serves me quite well and 4.3 basically has quite a lot minor updates which are not obvious to the user. I think the 4.4 should get a massive revamp like what gingerbread jumps to ICS.

my unit dont have purple tint issue, but out of my curosity, i tested out 3 camera apps which is

1) HTC Sense Camera
2) Nexus Camera
3) Lenovo SuperCamera

I tested in a total pitch dark room, HTC Sense & Nexus camera give me a total black screen while lenovo supercamera have alot of red color & Blue color noise. So, I wondering with those that encounter purple tint, did you all try on using different camera app?

Btw, my HTC One is not stock, its on latest Venom Rom and elementalX Kernel.

Regarding the purple issue, some say it is not a hardware issue. IF its not a hardware issue then why some people like kingsora and Xirality's silver unit no problem?

Cause if its a DESIGN or SPECIFICATION issue, everybody would have this problem.

Just saying.

DiGi has yet to get back to me. I guess by end of Tuesday they still don't get back to me then tribunals here I come! But I am sad also, HTC One has got the best display in the market right now, period.

This is just my personal opinion. So take it with a pinch of salt.

I think the problem is a mixture of hardware and software. HTC have QC issues. We all know that. So i don't think all parts are created equal. So thats why some have purple, some don't. That's why some reported after change camera better, some reported got worse.
This is where the software comes in. Calculations and algorithms of the software can come up with a correction factor to rectify it.

Early adopters of HTC One will remember the home button not sensitive enough. Hardware problem but the next update managed to fix that.

No problems, we all sharing opinion here. Even myself, I hope HTC can solve my issue, I just want a good, functioning phone as HTC advertised.

So far, HTC One is the best feeling phone in my hands.. iPhone 4S, 5, Note 2, SGS 4, all don't feel as good as the HTC One. Xperia Z is just oddly wide in my hands.

By the way, capacity for the one that you have is how much? Just hate charging power banks. But it really comes in handy. rclxms.gif

Suprisingly they call me....they say need to wait another 2-3 days for the  camera parts to arrive from taiwan....they ran out of it.....so i expected it will be around next friday

haiz......used 3 months...service nearly 2 weeks liao....i miss my phone
*
I used 2 months, now with service centre almost 2 months. Sent in 30 July. I am extremely angry now!

QUOTE(kahyeec @ Sep 8 2013, 09:02 AM)
Better give yourself 4 weeks to 6 weeks for camera replacement. Call center is quite clueless.  I send my HTC One in to SENq on 18th August. I call after 2 weeks say processing. Call again 2nd September say inspection for drop and moist . told me that they received the set 29th August. Next week call dont know what they will say liao.
I am patient because got spare phone to use. Otherwise complain straight to HTC HQ taiwan already.
*
How to complaint to HTC HQ Taiwan? I went to HTC taiwan sending email at the end my complaint routed back to customer service Malaysia who told me "once complete repair we will inform you". Kanasai, same thing being told. And no god damn DATE !!

QUOTE(yEaT @ Sep 12 2013, 12:09 AM)
Regarding HTC ONE purple tint issue : here's the latest updated

HTC was aware of the problem a while ago now and has finally made an official response on the subject.

We recently received a single purple color that appears in images taken with the HTC One reports. After reviewing the internal relations, we expect a software update that will enhance the color contrast in low light conditions. As we work to improve this aspect of the user experience, we thank our customers for their patience. Meanwhile, If you encounter this problem, we ask you to kindly contact our customer service for help. “

*
My phone got no issue until housing change. I am skeptical in believing software update could fix it.

Think so. Official RRP still the same though. Maybe red still 2000. hmm.gif

Off topic, come across a post about iPad 1 at high price. Think until now still could not sell. That is from 2010. rclxub.gif

Edited. Just saw directd page. Think red and black they sell above 2000. Silver 1999

still awaiting how are they gonna fix the camera issue via software update. So they are saying later batches of the ONE had the update? laugh.gif cause the later batches don't have this problem, or rather some batches.
*
I don't think this would happen. they will just adjust the algorithms for light sensitivity in certain conditions smile.gif

As not all of the devices having this problem, I still believe it is caused by hardware, let's wait n see.  brows.gif

They make bad decisions before. I think the only helping them now is HTC One. If not why they bother to release 4 colors. HTC One should be a catalyst to a better future for HTC. They should build from here.

What they need is other models that cater to different segments. Even Apple now got cheaper Iphones. And from personal experience with HTC, their phones are not the cheapest in the market. Pricing wise have to be competitive as well. Although this probably will eat their profits as well. sweat.gif

HTC One changed my perception about HTC. Hopefully they can continue with that.

I know htc can build a very good phone, ever since my first htc phone, HTC HD1.. I've own almost all if not all HTC flagship phone since then, name it HD2,desire Z, one x... Until HTC One. Finally what I think htc is capable of doing has been proven. Really love the phone. HTC have its own characteristics, both on hardware and software. It does now simply follow trends. As what Samsung did, when they first start, the learn/imitate Apple, hence the legal issues. But htc is very innovative. I really hope it can survive and get stronger.. I'm waiting for their next flagship

Yup, the phone heats up quite hot especially when using as a mobile hotspot. The metal body conducts heat better, thats why you feel that its hot. My SGS3 when using as mobile hotspot also gets VERY hot, but due to its plastic body does not feel so hot. Better for the metal body to get hot than plastic trapping the heat inside.

IMHO, phones are not to be used as mobile APs for long periods of time. Long time ago I used a HTC Touch Diamond as mobile AP plugged in, and the thing kaputted not long after.

A friend of mine using Note 1 charge and play 3D games at the same time, after 9 months battery bengkak. Changed new one and did the same. Bengkak again...

YMMV. Best try to keep things cool... Just because it CAN do something, doesn't mean it should do it for extended time.

i see.. but did urs heat up when charging only?
not sure whether the battery doctor app is messing around with the charging cos in the first phase is speed charging (quickly charge up to 80% by increasing voltage)... using ori charger also cause the heatup even with the charger adapter itself. shocking.gif

I shifted from BB. My first full touch screen phone = HTC one. LOL. Pretty noob about it rightnow. But give me 2 months max then i'll be playing with hybrid droids on it. Which makes me ask you guys a question...

Will the warranty void if I am using hybrid OS on it?

took a few picture yesterday during the visit to the national museum. The low light condition make my htc one a perfect companion even though i have a cheapo nikon compact camera with me. however, in the bright light condition, 4MP simply ruin the sharpness of the pic, quality is damn bad.. T_T

A tradeoff we got to live with when we decided to get this Ultrapixel camera haha. The best we can do is take some close ups. But hey don't be too sad, the wide angle camera must be quite convenient when taking pictures of large objects right?
