OMG never thought my device had the purple tint issue.  Is this it?

I'm able to charge my phone using another HTC car charger cable, surprisingly. But the charging time take so long using pc to charge.

1. HTC One is the best phone size, the size is just right for 1 handed operation.
2. HTC One is the best built, aluminium 1 piece construction, polished bezels, it oozes quality over Samsung's plastic toy. And I daresay its better built than Iphone 5/5S
3. HTC One's hardware is current #2 in the market, with its Snapdragon 600, Xperia Z1/Note 3 is using Snapdragon 800.
4. HTC One's service in Malaysia is abysmal, 7 weeks of sending it in and out of the service center, and they still can't fix it, they don't QC their work since they "repair" and the phone is still faulty and they give it back to you.
5. HTC One's camera module is flawed, hardware failure. This month I heard from HTC technician that they have a new part number for the camera module that allegedly fixes the problem, but he himself won't guarantee - it seems that now "repaired" HTC One no longer have purple tint issue, but they have pink light issue.

So if
1. The camera is not important; OR
2. You feeling damn lucky

Buy the HTC One.

Otherwise, AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I am not lucky, send repair come back same shit, so I really face problem. Tribunal it, and I am using SGS4 now. No problems

Ooh. So if I buy it from direcrd (brightstar), directd wont do any exchange but I can take it to the HTC service center and get a one for one exchange on the spot if there are any defects?

Hello, Does anyone have any idea why Brightstar set is slightly lower than SiS set? Both are original sets what. Why is there a different demand in the market?

Btw, Purple tint is not eligible for One to One exchange here

I ady fed up with my HTC one..
1st time Main camera got purple & red color... sent in and change the main camera..

2nd time, after collect the phone.. I back home and factory reset it ... unfortunately the front camera gone... I sent in again on the next day

3rd time They change the Main board (motherboard) to solve the front camera problem..  This time both camera also function.. But i realize that the battery cant last long... It only can last 9 hours+ although i not doing anything (try safe mode & off wifi and data) ... and then i found out some of the build in app (calculator and torchlight) gone...  

I go factory reset it ytd night.. Luckily the build in app came back and now i testing the battery... really headache...  

HTC one is quite an awesome gadget. The update has been very slow though. Anyone tried flashing manually? sense 5.5 with 4.3 JB stock is out but haven't try yet. I wonder if any different with MY region (probably just language option).

I think most people here got the China made version.  Which really sucks.  Taiwan made de mostly good no problem

I think most people here are having issues with the camera.

And for those haveerfect HTC one units.  Most of the, don't even particate in the forum. Because too bored d.  Nothing to chat also..cause everyone here are discussing camera issues... So I think the perfect HTC one users don't even bother to follow this thread...

mine is made in taiwan.. silver colour.. got it july 1st 2013..  well before HTC announced the purple tint issue... (not new set)

im not sure why some older set have problems... since mine dont have problem... i assume that the camera module are the same batch ?

maybe because some users doesnt know how to take care their phone... PLAY only... PLAY until hot hot ... then problem comes out...
