HTC One Bumper Casing

if for looks is good...

but for protection .. NO GOOD... its metal... if dropped ... i think it will dent the bumper and the phone lining as well...

because no cushioning effect ..

Been reading past 30-40 pages, seems like most of us are having purple tint issue, scared to send the phone to SC based on a few horror stories mentioned here.  The phone is working great except the purple tint which is visible now at ISO 100 after opening the camera for awhile

This has turned my head, thinking to get a pocket camera instead....haih
*
Smart phones are not DSLR or point and shot camera la bro...

They are not designed for photo shooting..

As I mentioned before. Don't use your phone until itgets really hot... It will cause the purple tint issue to rise

Is this common to other brand of smart phone as well? Is it the same that Galaxy S4 / Note3 / iphone5/5s camera cannot take the heat as well?

If not, HTC should not make this an excuse that the purple tint due to end user using the phone too hot.

This is unacceptable especially we paid for RM2299.
*
this is not HTC faults... its the camera module manufacturers fault...

HTC is the first to use ultrapixel on a smart phone... in which it excels in night photography ...

Good for u but let the rest rant if they want . This model is so damm problematic . Gap issues and now camera tints . Users r paying 2k for it , not 200 . If its a 200 phone , its understandable
Oh really ? Using Xperia mini and iphone 2 is it ?
*
noo... xperia z and iphone 5... they were blown away by my night shot from my htc one...

i posted a perfect htc one night shot a few pages back

Hi Owen,

I know you are HTC supporter. We all here same as well. Very lucky your camera has no problem. I am glad you dont have this problem.

But, the knife haven't cut the skin and no way you can feel the pain as what we having now. The phone got defect, I dont blame HTC. Nothing is perfect. The problem is the way HTC service center serve customer really awful.

At first, before I sent in my phone to them, I thought it could be people in this forum over sensitive. But then after called the HTC dumb operator 3 times for follow up, they give me same question 'Technician are assessing your phone'. Furthermore, those customers not from KL, will never reach the service center, and only can talk to HTC Operator who not really handle your phone problem but talk shit. we just like talk to the air and will never know when the phone will deliver back. Hope you understand our feelings. I got no smart phone that I fully rely it everyday for traffic jam (waze), Business email reading.

I dont blame user complaining here. Take it positively. They share their experience so the new buyer will aware of the issue and prevent the same problem we are facing now.

Dont take it negatively.

HTC operator asked me to call next Monday... Not I want to chase them. This is what they committed to me that will update me the status. I will let you know the answer they will give tomorrow.

Is not I want to show off..

Its not HTC problem to have poor CS service... They already tried their best to perform... But sometimes other people in which I mean the customer service officer in HTC Malaysia sometimes kurang ajaror guailan. The same way some of use is like those kurang ajar type. They don't care about what problem the user have... They only
go to office be kurang ajar during work... Then get paid... Not many people wants to do customer service job because they have to bare all the complaints and stress of the user.. That's why htc already tried their best ... But can't get better people or less kurang ajar people for customer service..

Look at other countries HTC customer service ... They all very helpful

It is HTC fault, HTC is the one to choose manufacturers...once they fail to deliver good quality product, HTC is responsible for it as consumer pay money to HTC only. We not direct pay to the manufacturer.
*
Look at it this way... If the product from the camera manufacture isn't ready for deployment.. Why the hell they release to consumers? Or in this case HTC . HTC themself also didn't know the problem until it exist when some users complaint about it..

Wow, it's scary hearing all these stories. I have to be thankful that I didn't experience all these myself.

Beside the point that it took 2 weeks to change the camera module, they were polite and helpful to me. And I got my phone in the same condition.

Been testing the camera these few weeks and it works perfectly.
Low-light is just gorgeous. Played games till the phone became hot like iron, still no problem.

I've used phones from almost all brands. iphone, Samsung, Sony, LG, you name it. But the HTC ONE tops my list.

It's a shame that HTC can't keep the standard up to everyone. Perhaps that's why the company is in such trouble now. Seriously hope they can do something about it.
*
ya la ...

that is why i dont understand why people said dont want to use HTC forever after stating that HTC suck (CS sucks)

most of them blame HTC for poor CS service...

come on la think before you make any statement ...

some people say the service very good... some people say service super bad,... that depends on who is the officer that assist you ...

if you get a kurang ajar/guai lan type officer... then you memang shui lo ...

Quality control is HTC responsibility or consumer responsibility? Since HTC release the phone just find got problem, it still their mistake. HTC is the one who choose manufacturer for camera module.

Besides, when a lot consumer face such problem, HTC did not give any proper apologize to customer and call back for service like other company do.
*
quality control ? only HTC ?? then the camera module manufacturer no need to take responsibility la ?

is like you did something wrong ... and then push all the responsibility to someone else?

HTC has taken responsibility to replace all defective cameras... you are lucky to get the replacement... if htc were to not take any responsibility... you wont even get your replacement

about the customer service... i have talked about it before...

it is not HTC taiwan's fault... IT IS HTC MALAYSIA fault.... other countries HTC is so friendly and helpful.... the officer is the one that take all your enquiries...

if you get a good officer to help you ... then thats fine ... if you get those kurang ajar type officer... then you memang very unlucky...

Yeap, but CS is important too for overall product satisfaction. It counts if you want to keep your customers. That's why iphone users are so crazy loyal. Their CS make them feel like VIP. lol

To be fair, if I was on the receiving end of such bad problems I'd probably just change my phone too. Which is what happened with my S3.
*
ya i know... i recall the HTC one won the T3 smartphone of the year... basically their HTC one does not have any issues ...

for CS i kena once before with Yes 4G ...

i shoot the CS officer gao gao... until he cry on the phone...

Fed up with the purple tint issue, I just can't take any photo at even moderate light conditions.

Just requested pick-up service from penang, he mentioned their service centre is in BTS, which I presumed that's where my phone are sending to.

We'll see how it goes.....

do report back on their service...
