My phone went into SOA for few minutes. Nothing will bring it back. Had to push the reset button located in the memory slot bay for 10 seconds. Scary.

Just sharing, my officemate had a very serious SOD issue with his phone (before .510). Every 4 hours, the phone screen dies on him and he needs to hard reset using the small 'reset' button. It worked for a few times, but then, after a few days even the 'reset' button didnt work to reboot the phone. shocking.gif shocking.gif

So, I asked him to do the Volume Up + Power button reset method instead, and it worked like a charm.. summore the SOD became less frequent, before is 4hrs, after using the button combo his phone usually lasted 12hrs or more before SOD.

Dunno why people prefer the hard reset key? a little troublesome to open flap and find small object to push. For me I dont believe in the reset key after my friends case, as I feel the android standard of Volume Up + Power button does a better job and made a major problem less major in a way, unconventional, yes, but we never know what actually ticks in those complex electronic circuits.. sweat.gif

I wonder if frequent SOD is a recognised fault claimable under warranty...

Hope just a update bug and not SDS like what happened in the  S3,
*
He did send to Sony SC, but sony SC said its software issue and not hardware shakehead.gif .. and updated his firmware to .475. Then they say wait for .510 and see results. .475 did no difference, still got SOD. But after the .510 update, his phone was indeed cured. No more SOD since the updates.

Seen this before, this Phablet look interesting and not bad as well.

This year a lot Phablet popping out!  thumbup.gif

indeed.. people everyday are more and more attached to their mobile devices, and media consumption + browsing + gaming is in the forefront.. so its just a logical evolution for mobile devices to house larger screens.. im using my XZ as my main phone, while XZU as a media + net browsing device, when looking at 5" now, it feels sooo small and gives no more feel in using it! lol.. sweat.gif

Yalo, after use this XZU, now I feel 5" really small...

In-fact good also, haha! I no need think on changing to Z1 and can wait till next year 2014, Aug - Sept as that the time Phablet get announce. biggrin.gif
*
Exactly, camera wise, if want go full force with XZU, can buy the upcoming QX10 and QX100 attachments (which are soooo awesome!). So this can be a buffer if people try to racun us to change to Z1 because of camera alone.. icon_idea.gif

Indeed gonna wait for next of sony's line of future Phablets.

Got a call from Sony. Screen is not covered by warranty.

RM1,100 to replace the cracked screen. They will just give me a new unit.

Anyone want to buy mine?
*
They give u a new unit? FOC? how is that possible as its not covered under warranty? shocking.gif

Damn pricey.. My bet, should be at least RM899 - 999 for the QX10, and RM1699 - 1799 for the QX100 when reach Sony Malaysia.

true that sony is a little late but this year Sony is very aggressive with its Z lines. I see a bright future in the effort and i'm satisfied enough for now (although still envies the camera on Z1  sweat.gif )...maybe 2nd half of next year will consider another beast, hopefully with S1400 chipset and 3gb ram as baseline for high end beast
*
Indeed. Really applaud Sony's effort this time around with Z line. Fast firmware updates to fix bugs etc. Am a Samsung - HTC convert, but now will indeed stick with Sony until I see what's in stored for us in 2014. thumbup.gif

Can. The new version of the PPSSPP app has the option to even re-map your PS3 controller buttons if not mistaken.

If really teruk your screen, for me I will sanggup remove the protective sheet and loose the Sony logo rather than being a sight for sore eyes looking at those scratches everyday.. brows.gif
