I have noticed Musee Platinum in online advertisement (Groupon) for a long time and has realised a great lacks of review on this particular saloon.

They have 2 branches which located in Fahrenheit and The Curve.

I think many girls out there could be wondering and would appreciate a feedback on this saloon.

As for myself I have signed up for the RM288 Underarms Hair Removal Package for LIFETIME!

I am on my 4th session! tongue.gif

Well worth it and it's not painful. Just a few snaps and you're done. rclxms.gif

Services are good so far, but I do experienced slight miscommunication with the girls during my visits.

They claimed it's the management and inexperienced staff. However the consultants did make up for me and I'm glad.

Oh, they have this kind of promo where if you sign up together with a friend, you and your friend get 1 session of free large part hair removal.

Or if you introduce your friend to sign a package, both of your friend could get a RM 300 ticket to be used on your next package.

So for eg, if you are new and intend to sign up, I intro you and both of us can get the intro ticket worth RM 300 which can be used to sign a new package or 1 free session on the large part.

1 large part is equal to 2 small parts.

There's free silicon pot upon signing up too I think. But bear in mind, it could be while stock last.

Please let me know what you girls think about this salon smile.gif

(will put more photos later)

Heard from my friend it's a popular salon in Japan too.

The most basic package would be the underarm removal package, only RM 288 for LIFETIME. (RM278 from Groupon, please call to enquire what's the difference)

They have a few package targeting on different areas.

Currently, they are having promo of 50% discount on the pubic area until end of this month, and that alone includes 5 small area, which I think is quite worthy.
And if ever you find that the package you signed up do not suit you, you can ask for refund or change to other area. This was stated in the agreement form.

Pubic hair promo:

4 sessions - RM 1,225.00
6 sessions - RM 1,837.50
12 sessions - RM 3,491.00

etc...

Most of the bigger package comes with free lifetime underarm hair removal.

So, in case you took the RM288 package and subsequently decided to take other package, they will less the RM 288 out from the package price. Meaning you still get free underarm hair removal.

My advice is that you signed up for the RM288 underarm hair removal with an intro of a member first (so both of you can get RM300 voucher for the next package), then wait to get another RM200 voucher from your birthday.
At the meantime intro your friend as well. All these voucher can be accumulated to be used on 1 package, however, they have 1 year validity.

Interesting. I've recently bought the Groupon deal few weeks ago and plan to visit them before end of this month.

How's the effect of the hair removal so far?

I recently visited the branch at The Curve and signed up for the rm288 package. The decor there is minimalistic and simple, sales girls are polite and pretty knowledgable, good service, and best of all no pushy sales.

I have only been there once, so I can't rate on how effective it is yet. But I would say the deal for the underarm is quite worth it. Just wanting to share my experience as I was pretty happy that it was quite a good deal. smile.gif

I've signed up for their unlimited underarm hair removal for some time already. I think went for more than 3 sessions so far. Also sign up for their other parts hair removal and it seems to be quite good. Service is good but sometimes their server mess up the appointment dates so best to confirm with them beforehand.

Yeah the service is good but they don't call to remind you when it's time for your appt... I wish they do. I've done IPL prior to this, so 1 year later I signed myself up at MP for maintenance. So far so good. Don't we all love hairless & fair underarms! lol

They do send SMSes 1-2 days before appt right?

I notice they always mess up my appt so still call them beforehand to reconfirm.

Strip specializes in waxing, their IPL hair removal is definitely more expensive than Musee the last I checked.

Very different compared to waxing. If you compare in the long run, it really depends on individual body.
Some hair growth will come back, but most will not be like before already. The hair will be very fine and growth will slow down a lot compared to before. So it's still very different.

Waxing only gives me say 3-5 days max of completely hairless skin before new hair starts to grow, but with more permanent hair removal methods like IPL or eLight, I don't have to bother about my underarms for 2-3 months cause there would be no visible hair growth. I just have to maintain the treatments every 2-3 months. If stop treatment, then the hair growth will get faster but still way slower than before. I can say its one of the best things in life that I spent on. laugh.gif

I've already gone for 7 sessions for underarm and very happy with the results so far. The appointments can only be made every 2 months and since the previous 2 sessions, I shave only 2-3 times between treatments as the hair growth is really reduced and the hairs that grow back are very fine. The staff are always courteous and the place is very clean and comfortable. I'm even thinking of signing up for the pubic hair package now! Feel free to use my member ID: 81056464 biggrin.gif

I'm having my treatments done at the curve branch for the past 1.5 years or so. Very good service and especially like one of the girls there name Erica.

But will be transferring to Sunway branch for my next treatment since its nearer.

Hi . i'm going for my 5th underarm treatment next month smile.gif

Highly recommend Musee as their service is great and i think its really effective even though this is only my fourth time for the treatment.

All the ladies staff are so soft and polite , no hard sell (thats what i like the most) , its painless and i dun hv to shave every few days anymore ! it slows down my underarm hair growth and its actually getting fairer now cause i shave lesser i guess ?

i'm actually thinking whether i should go for bikini line treatment :/ anyone went for it and could give some advise ? thanks smile.gif

What do you wanna know about their bikini line treatment?

It's pretty much the same. Shave before you go. They do the same procedure, takes slightly longer time compared to underarms.

If shy, then nothing much I can help you with already.

You just strip off everything, put on the paper underwear that is provided, wear their robe that is provided. They also provide wet wipes for you to clean up first before changing into their robe.

In the room, they will use wet wipes to clean again, use their shaver to shave, put the gel, do the treatment, put cooling towel. That's about it.

After that you just change back into your clothes.

Went to Sunway branch yesterday for my appointment. I feel that the staffs at Curve branch is more efficient though. Took double the time to finish my session yesterday compared to when I go to Curve. sweat.gif

And now got promo so cheap RM88 for unlimited underarm/bikini line and RM128 or something for unlimited both underarm and bikini line. So cheap compared to what I paid last 2 years!

They have all off front and back. Last time was around RM1.2k for 4 sessions, RM1.8k for 6 sessions, RM3.5k for 12 sessions, RM5k for 18 sessions. Now I think cheaper maybe? Cause their underarm and bikini line very the cheap.

no hidden cost. but since i activated my membership on January 2015 and went for consultation once without doing treatment (tell you how hair grows, what package and how much etc) and never been there until now. LOL because it's quite troublesome. for example armpit hair remover, when treatment start, you cant shave your armpit until next treatment which is 2 or 3 months (imagine your hair grows in 2 months time.. )

I've not been told about this. And in fact, I was told you can shave it anytime few days after treatment when your skin is less irritated.

And you just need to shave 1-2 days before you come for the next treatment, which is every 2-3 months as you said.

For any kind of hair removal treatment like these, you cannot pluck your hair, that's for sure. But shaving is alright. It's far from troublesome if you ask me.

ahh.. meanseither side of the staff gave the wrong information. she told me that after treatment we could not shave because if you shave means your are still giving the hair (under skin) vitamin to grow. if you shave after treatment, means you wasted your treatment. that's what i know..

I've not heard of that at all. Which branch did you go to?

Maybe you can clarify it with another staff when you are there?

Hey babe. Maybe your branch didn't give completely wrong information.

I double confirm with my branch yesterday. The girl say for the first 2 weeks no shaving as the hair is suppose to drop out on its own (which is true based on my experience).
She also said that you can shave after that if the hair bothers you, but for the most effective results, it's best not to shave often. So maybe your branch's staffs just wanted you to see the results quicker. wink.gif

Anyway, for underarms, the results for me was quite fast and very noticeable. I don't even shave these days, even before treatments. Hardly can see anything. But if you're gonna do other parts like pubic area where the hair is thicker and rougher, then it'll take quite a number of sessions (12 or more).

there is a policy with "no pushy sales" there, so dont worry. staff is all right just that until now i haven start doing treatment due to cannot shave after treatment until next shave (about 2 or 3 months) i cannot even tolerate a day without shaving. LOL

Hi,

May i know how to consider lifetime?

I just want to verify with those who signed the package.
*
It means you can go for the treatments unless the hair growth is stopped completely! since the period varies for different people! some need 12 session which is done in 2 years, some need more and some less than 12 sessions! when it is lifetime treatment, means you can go as much as necessary!

hope it helps! by the way you can use my ID and we can both enjoy a free session, My ID: 81059489 you can use it in any branch!

You can definitely shave after the treatment as they told me so! they just reminded that I shouldn't shave for a week at least! but any ways the hair growth is slowed so you don't have to shave for 2 weeks at least!

If you want the underarm and bikini line it is 128RM.. it is better you purchase it from them itself instead of groupon since if you buy it directly, the guaranty policy would apply too!

You're a guy right? The salon has the no guy no kids policy.

But if you're asking on behalf of someone else. You can check the prices on their website and give them a call for further info. http://www.musee-pla.com.my/promotion/

Don't think they allow also. They have a big sign on the table of the waiting area saying "no men and no kids". Just go around the shopping mall jalan jalan la.

If underarm, usually less than 20 minutes done already.

Yes, only RM 128 for unlimited sessions. However, it is limited to once in 3 months if i'm not mistaken. I'm on my 4th underarm visit and third visit for VIO hair removal. (pubic, inner thigh, lower butt crack and bikini line).

However, i read somewhere that after 2 years, you are only limited to once in 6 months. No complains though as i'm on my 4th underarm visit and the hair grows thinly.

After 2 years only limited to once in 6 months? I was not told about that though. I've been going for underarm since October 2013. Coming to 2 years already. My next session will be end of this month. Hopefully they didn't change any policies about this.

For your pubic, how much did you pay and for how many sessions?

I will reconfirm with them too. Next apt in 2 weeks.
Can't quiet remember cause i paid 128 for underarm and bikini line. Used a referral = got Rm100 voucher

When i signed up for the VIO package, they minus off the bikini line since it is already included in VIO. So they cut off some RM over there, and deduct another RM100 from the referral program. I think i paid roughly a maximum of Rm1200 for 6 sessions. Signed up in Jan, can't remember already.

This is the price earlier of the year. A bit blur sorry..

Quite satisfied with the results. Certain parts take a longer time but the hair is definitely much thinner and easier to maintain. Skin much smoother compared to shaving and waxing. Plus no itch unlike shaving.

You can shave. But better if you let the hair fall by itself in 2 weeks.
It will take 2-3 sessions before you can really feel you don't have to shave and your hair grows thinly.

For me, it took 3 sessions.

Thanks for your info. And also, I'm wonder is that any side effect for go through all this permanently hair removal? As my friends always advice me not to do so because this might cause other side effect like breast cancer..

Hi Everyone, Im new here and just wanted to share my experience with Musee platinum Tokyo SSC hair removal promo. I bought their underarm and bikini line hair removal package from groupon last year (Nov) for 128rm. I just completed my 6th session at The Gardens branch and so far im very happy with the result. My armpit and bikini area is now very smooth and hairs are growing very slow and less. 😊
Staff are very friendly and accommodating specially with request for rescheduling. (they will even call you back).

Compared to the IPL hair removal session i did at a salon in Pavillion 2 years ago Musee is less painful and cheaper. The cold gel that they are putting before they use the machine that emit the light that kills the roots of your hair really helps.

By the way the 128RM session is unlimited until your satisfied.
They also provide an extra free session (small part) or a 100RM discount for every referral you make. Both you and your friend will get this free session.

Ladies i have posted my member ID here ( 81060793 ) if anyone is planning to avail of this promo you can use my ID to get a free session too.

Im happy to answer any questions.

Thank you for reading. Good Luck 😄

Hi Anndz! I went to Musee today to sign up for the RM128 package and I use your id for my referral. smile.gif Now you and I got free sessions. Though I was kinda taken aback when they ask me for your name and handphone number. But they are happy to have just the id.

And to everyone who wanted to sign up but still considering it, I think this month is the best month to sign up.

This is because Musee now have this promotion:
2 Free session on S parts or 1 Free session on L parts or RM200 OFF on any package if you introduce your friends. They didnt update this promotion on their facebook or website. [they post the promotion on facebook few days ago]

My member ID is ( 81048800 ). If anyone wanted to signup please feel free to use my id! tongue.gif

I am interested to sign the package. Is it only RM128 and no addition surcharge?
Do we need to pay any initial cost or registration fee?

Have been going to Musee for coming to 2 years now. Still as good service as before. And prices are cheaper now compared to then.

For VIO, I started with Musee. Now 10th session edi, pretty much completely all gone and only a little bit left in harder to reach parts, but the hair is very fine. Skin also very smooth  thumbup.gif

I am interested to sign the package. Is it only RM128 and no addition surcharge?
Do we need to pay any initial cost or registration fee?
So far how was your treatment in Musee?
*
Well my first experience at Musee was ok for me. I did the underarm, bikini line and the lower leg together. Before the treatment they will use an electronic shaver (I cant see what type I'm blindfolded) to shave everything but I don't why it is necessary since I already shaved...And if you have scars or wounds on your underarm they put a sticker on it for protection. They start shaving from down to up and I lost count how many times they zapped me with the machine on the underarm. I read some people had more than 15 times and some less than 10 times. Now a month later, I can see bald patch of the size of I cent on my underarm....I'm hoping the second session will have a better result.

I hope to hear from you soon after your 1st session! smile.gif

Yes it's an electronic shaver. They sell it too. At one point had promotion giveaway free while stock last when we selfie at their shop and post the photo on insta. It's a pretty good shaver, small compact and looks good. laugh.gif they shave again as they wanna make sure all hair is shaved as sometimes we might miss some spots.

Which is puzzling. On their notes stated "Treatments best work on hair from 1-2mm. Shave 2-3 days before your treatment date". I might missed a few parts. But why they shaved every part of the treatment areas again.

It's just their SOP to make sure that the hair is at the correct length for treatment.

I just signed up in Sunway Pyramid today for the lower leg, both for RM1812, 12 times. They are having promo now, 50% off. The price list posted above is still valid but until 31st Dec. From next year onward, apparently they will return to normal price which is about 3k plus for 12 times (the staff recommended 12 times for my lower leg cos I have pretty fine hair, you may need more if coarse hair)

If you are going, please Use my id to get RM100 off: 81512097. Thanks!

Good Luck 😄

I've posted their price list a while back. You can look for it if you are really interested. It's somewhere around there, maybe with some inflation but it's roughly still the same. Their promos change monthly though, you can always give them a call if you are lazy to visit them.

I went recently and below is roughly their price for Customized Package.

Number (Large Parts) Price before discount Price after discount, before Raya
2? or 4? ?? 600
24 7200 3013
30 9000 3767
36 10800 4374
40 14400 5702
60 18000 6503

You can get another 10% - 50% discount off the "Price after discount, before Raya" during their Raya Promotion this month, much cheaper (compared to HK) after further discount!

I'm on my third year, the armpit and bikini line area has shown significant reduction in hair growth by my 5th session (first year). Now still have countable hair growth at armpit, still acceptable

Maybe need to bersabar a bit more i guess, as everyones' hair growth is different?

it works for me for armpit and bikini line (the rm128 package). but for full V area i only had it for 6 sessions, would need more sessions though. although the hair growth is slightly finer than before

but hey, it's rm128 for a lifetime, worth a try smile.gif

Just to add : It's near impossible to get an appointment these days.

My other half have been trying for close to a month to get an appointment due to long working hours. Feel like totally giving up with this outlet actually laugh.gif

Not to mention it's a long drive from PJ to the specific branch because they don't allow customers to transfer branches and etc.

Been using their services for almost 2 years now (one year in HK, one year in Malaysia). Took their customised package and its really effective. Basically less hair growth and much more finer.

Nowadays I don't have to shave until my next appointment but still won't be too obvious / too messy. laugh.gif

Problem is only getting an appointment (minimum two months gap in between sessions) and weekend slot is almost impossible... sweat.gif

Ugh, that sucks. I started with their first branch in Curve last time then manage to get them to transfer me to Pyramid branch when they open up there. So glad that I did that last time. sweat.gif

They used to be so empty hahaha. Hope their service won't go down the drain now that they are so successful.

It is indeed really hard to get an appointment especially on weekends.
Sometimes you have to reschedule and the next appointment could be another 1 month wait T-T

But service overall quite good.

Just visited. They have promo now up to 65% off.

12 sessions for upper lips RM688 ,
6 sessions for full arm/full leg RM1288

4 sessions for S part (flexible) RM600 and etc

Just joined, not yet have the first treatment yet, but I.m happy with the consultation. The gardens branch staff quite friendly. and understandable why they are overbook.

After the consultation, I book right away, still need to wait after a month even for weekdays.

Hope the result is good and worth the waiting. I have high expectation as the consultant show me her arm which did the treatment, smooth and soft when touch.

And here is My member ID for those need a referral to get the Free S part trial once, or RM100 rebate for your treatment. when you signup with them.

So far just visited twice.
2 months apart for each appointment. That's necessary according to them because the complete hair grow cycle are 2 months.

The services is ok. And the price of RM88 for unlimited times are super affordable.
But their treatment are slightly different than laser. So the results are slower. But for the price, it's worth waiting.

What I found after the 2nd treatment:
I was asked not to shave so frequently, let the hair grow, it will fall out eventually.
So for the first time of my life, I let the hair grow. And I found that there are 2 patch area the hair growing much slower than other, and a few pores, no hair grow out at all.

I'm not sure is it the treatment is working or I'm born this way seriously.
So I'm waiting for the next treatment and see is the bald patch getting bigger laugh.gif

Beware of waxing and IPL, while they are cheaper, the removal process is painful and not long-lasting.

If your goal is for a permanent hair removal, whether it's underarm, upper lips, or legs, the diode laser is the best solution.

The precision of the laser can target coarse hair and both light and darker skin types, while leaving the skin surrounding the area undamaged as the process is quick and painless.

But the best of all, you will no longer need to constantly shave.

If you prefer laser instead of waxing and IPL, I'll recommend Dermlaze in Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya:

Details as follows:
