hi...i dunno which topic to look for so i posted here..sorry

1.What programe to convert .dat to .mpeg or .avi?
2.what programe to use extract the sound from .dat format?
3.what programe and How to extra sound from .dat format when there is 2 audio channels?

google around... im sure u can find some there... its all can be done with windows movie maker.... you just need to identify whut u r gonna do

1. For .dat to .mpeg, use VCDgear. .dat to .avi, use Virtual Dub.
2. TMPGenc can do the job for u.
3. I don't really get u. Are u talking that if the audio is 2 channel, u want to extract one of the channel? If so, extract the audio with TMPGenc, then edit with some audio software like Adobe Audition.

erm...any software to convert MP2 to MP3? or can tempgeng extra into mp3 format?

yes u can.
on the main windows, select the video.

then on the audio setting, default would be mp2.
change it mp3 and make sure u have the lame.exe somewhere in ur pc.

try mpeg-vcr can do all u listed.

 

Change to:
