wildlife department in cheras. depends on where u got the animal from. if u bought from a seller..they should provide u with a resit or the lisences...if u caught wild then very hard to get the licenses...

QUOTE(terrorist @ May 31 2006, 03:26 PM) This is the address and contact numbers that i get from Department of Wildlife and National Parks website (www.wildlife.gov.my) well, Director General Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Headquarters) Km. 10, Jalan Cheras 56100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Tel: 603-9075 3134 (Ketua Pengarah) 603-9075 2872/5/6/8/9/80/1/2/4 Cable: CHIEFWARD KUALA LUMPUR Fax: 603 9075 2873 Email: pakp@wildlife.gov.my musa@wildlife.gov.my Web: http://www.wildlife.gov.my the shop should actually be the one providing u the licence. If they have 40 iguanas, they are holding 40 CITES licences for them normally. For traders, it is the common usage to charge a bit more than the normal RM 10. Most charge RM 20 which is in my idea, not exagerated. RM 40 is far too much. Legally, to own a CITES animal without proper or expired documents can be fine up to RM 1000 but action rarely follows. If u cannot get a arrangement with the seller, get the receipt with the company stamp and the description of the animal and just go to perhilitan. For all those who have to renew their licence (once a year) u have 2 weeks after expiration to present urself to perhilitan. The same apply to the seller and buyer of a CITES animals after transaction. |
