this one has been asked many many times already.. but i'll just repeat some basic techniques
many people will cut out about 1 or 2 mm away from the part, and then use a hobby knife to trim it down until left about <1mm then sand it down using sandpaper
personally, i just cut away from the part, and use a sharp hobby knife to trim it carefully and slowly.. it's not as perfect as using sandpaper, but at least it can hardly be seen
