its not often a model is advertise with a nice rounded number tag due to the inclusion of tax. Unless ofcuz the base price + tax = a nice rounded number, however this does not happen very often since the range of number in order for this to appear is quite limited.

we know the tax is 5%, now if the tag says 4500 it means 0.05(base price) + base price = 4500. Do some calculation n u will get base price = 4285.714286. For marketing purposes, Bandai will never put such number on the box as it is difficult to calculate, messy and hard to remember.

if u saw 4500 on the tag, its either
a) an error and tey hav corrected it
b) u remember wrongly as i hav never saw any pic of such

At 3800 yen it's going to be a fairly straight forward kit.

So far apart from the signature satellite cannon there doesn't seem to be any fancy gimmicks apart from the purple pieces. Not quite sure why Bandai added that, but unless they light up with LEDs which I doubt, they look more awkward than anything.

^ yup, the panels were supposed to light up in the show, so it's good that they made it clear, i love that effect.. now it's only a matter of how to light it up either way X is not supposed to be gimmicky, it's supposed to look streamlined and kick arse.. both of which it does really well
