Cleverley's introduction didn't even do anything to the midfield.
Fellaini and Cleverley (in the 2nd half) keeps going up front, and once they lose the ball, Carrick is left in midfield, and it becomes a 3 on 3 situation. and here I thought Fellaini should be given a holding role. using his strength. but nooooooooo. Rooney, Valencia has been working their asses off. Salute. Stamina like mad. and why. why didn't Moyes use up his subs. but. I'll stand behind Moyes, as that is what SAF has asked us to do. I will support Moyes, and I will support United until I die. |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Sep 23 2013, 11:14 PM) Toure v Fellaini. the thing is, I always pictured Fellaini as a defensive midfielder. but Moyes utilized him in another way.I feel the 4-4-2 formation didn't worked as planned. Carrick and Fellaini had to cover most areas of the pitch. Heck, even Fellaini's passing accuracy is slightly higher than Carrick's 91%. IMO, Afroman had a pretty decent game, in terms of controlling the game. But of course, this is not a one man sport. The main issues now is the wingers and the markings (defence). and going against Man City, it's always preferable to pack the midfield because of Yaya's influence. first half it was obvious that Carrick was going to remain deep in midfield and Fellaini will support in attack. but so many times it failed and a counter attack will happen. i can see the logic in why Cleverley was subbed in replacing Young, to pack the midfield, but I cannot see the logic why Cleverley. could have been pancit Anderson instead of him. when will Kagawa get some screen time I wonder. Zaha as well. |

QUOTE(nshady @ Sep 24 2013, 12:46 AM) SAF has lost even worst, 1-6 to man city. Still to early to say if moyes is good enough for manutd or not. Unless we keep losing this big to other smaller teams. losing at home some more, with one man down. that's the most painful derby defeat I have to say. playing away, I don't hope for a win, a draw will suffice. but to be demolished in that manner is just painful. |
