Thanks guys for your kind words smile.gif

Yes, he is a really big fella for his age. When I got him he was such a pip squeak, but look at him now blush.gif I was very much attracted to him when I found him at the pet shop. A really cute face.

Guess it was also an impulse buying but I was aware of how big he'd become. Somehow the lure of the moment got better of me. Which is why I wouldn't think of releasing him to the wild; easy since I'm surrounded by forest and hills. It would be very irresponsible of me.

I'm thinking of sending him to Zoo Negara; what you guys think?

Pauline.

pauline, when i was at a petshop last time i had that impulse too once, and still having it though tongue.gif . But i thank my family who disagree with me on getting an ig for a pet because of time constraint, and not enough space to keep. Taking note of how unpredictable these animals can get when they reach adult size, it's no wonder iguanas seem to be growing less in popularity these days. My worry is, the zoo is already bursting with unwanted reptiles and other domestic pets. You can call them up to find out. Try looking for Dr Velappan, the zoo vet, he might be able to help you out. I will try asking around to see if anyone is interested in your ig, but no promises k? Will let you know then wink.gif .

Thanks funkychips, appreciate the effort.

As for his diet, I've always given him a mixture of green leaf vege and sometimes fruits like papaya and honeydew. I'm not sure what is the appropriate size for his age but body length is only 15 inches without the tail. He has a flawless tail (and great energy!) that measures roughly over 30 inches.

Yes I'm sure the zoo is also packed. Worst scenario I'll still keep him. sad.gif

i dont think keeping the iggy in your office will be a very good idea....
iggy needs alot of care and attention....and it's not easy to have it....you have to at least spend rm200 a month on them for supplement and medical stuff....
it's a big responsibility and it can grow till bigger than you thought....
so think twice before having them as your pet...

don't just adopt it because it's FOC....

Pauline : make sure your iggy find a good owner and good luck! tongue.gif
