Hi everyone,

I wanna validate how true is this trade up program on Brightstar's website. If there are any LYN Kaki who works/owns any of these participating outlets, hope you can let me know and most people here know how can the trade up program be done.

Have a nice day !

the value stated is what they average your old phone's price/value to be ie trade in value. so 1899-that=what u'll end up paying. mind u - the written/stated value are max-estimate thus your true phone trade in price will varies per condition+branches where u go to.

the on launch prom trade in last time was slightly different in quantifying - all fix price regardless of state of phone, as price were set per model type of trade in phone.

anyway, do have a go + upgrade n tell us how much they took yours in ya! cool2.gif

the program is in line with the ones running now in few other countries -NA, India; it's not a scam if that's what u r worried about.
the last time they hold this trade-in program was @ launch : u bring your phone, they check the condition+authenticity+evaluate= give the value then u pay the difference for upgrade/new phone. however, the trade value given during that promo was set - regardless of state of phone, as long as it met a pre set criteria. this new/current on going promo - value will varies with condition+branch/personel evaluation (as the stated value is only a guide).

eg iphone 5 64g is given trade in value of rm18++

With Blackberry going down in November, Z10 will reduced to worthless phone. In November, this phone probably sold at price less than RM1000. No way anyone will do trade in now.

went to a few authorised distributors in digital mall, but majority of them do not recognise this campaign. finally managed to find one who is willing to.

traded my 9900 in for a white lte z10.

rocking with a q10 and z10 now.

definitely a genuine campaign, but many unsupportive distributors.

btw is there any shop that can do trade up, but sell lower price than stated on website of their z10?

in http://www.brightstarcorp.com.my/priceme/ it's stated that Z10 LTE is 1899rm.

is there any shops selling the LTE brightstar for cheaper? like 1500rm? i know satugadget is selling the LTE Z10 brighstar in that price. but they don't have this trade up programme I guess

they r not in official trade in programme but they do take ori sets for trade in . u should give them a call. also others - 7mobile, item.com, directd. (do check garage sale discussion bytheway)
cheapest unit prices usually r @ directd, satugadget.
but now that BlackBerry is up for sale with today's annoucement (sos , trade in value might b much lower xcept for @ brightstar programme (but u r paying higher rsp price)... cool2.gif

It should only have a Brightstar hologram sticker right beside the SIRIM sticker.

AP ones tend to have one round sticker with the marking 1-12 and year on one of the screw lids. Brightstar one doesn't. If I remember correctly you can also check the website, since the Brightstar ones DO have their own warranty registered online.
