i got msg from UOB credit card, 5% cash rebate and 5% SMART $, last time only 2% but only at BHP petrol, promo last till 30 Appril 2014, any T&C like rebate cap?

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jan 8 2014, 11:22 PM)
good for you. i didn't receive that message. and i pumped rm50 just now at bhp only received rm1 (2%) smart$. anyway, i assume that the max cap of monthly bhp smart$ is still maintained at rm8 for platinum. which means i will still achieve the max easily because i usually pump above rm400. but for you, you just need to pump up to rm160 to achieve to the max rm8 smart$.

I received the message for the 5% cash rebate + 5% smart cash for petrol purchase at BHP also. But, it starts from 1 Feb to 30 April 2014.

Yes I am the last. I calculated, A portion of my Rm26 got it. Rm14 got it. Haha. Nevermind ba. At least good cashback. I got a total of RM4.46 and RM5.06 as smart cash. Kinda okay. Almost RM10 cash back, which means 4.53 litres of petrol discounts. tongue.gif

I made a RM 70 transaction on petrol on 14th March and I got RM 0.50 cash rebate only. Assuming that yours was the last transaction for the remaining cash rebate, I should get a full 5% rebate for my transaction. sad.gif

Then this is so freaking lame. You sure you get something right? Must complain

My total petrol spend was RM 300 and I should get RM 15 cash rebate. However, I got only RM 12. In my latest statement, my latest spend in Feb for petrol was on 13th, in March, it was on 14th, and yet it was short of RM 3 cash rebate. sad.gif

I just changed my statement date from 12th to 25th. Thus, for my current statement, it includes transactions from 13th Feb to 25th of March. The last petrol transaction I made in Feb was on 13th. The last petrol transaction I made in March was on 14th. Both were posted on 16th of their respective months.

I wonder if the posting date is important. If the posting date determines the cash rebate mechanism, then I shall not receive cash rebate because whitesabre has claimed for the remaining rebate. But I got RM 0.50 rebate.

Would it be a system problem because charymsylyn did a transaction on 1st of March but got zero cash rebate? I did made a petrol transaction on 2nd of March for RM 60. Maybe there was no cash rebate for this particular transaction?

For my uob one card I did not receive some cashback for petrol last month but after I called CS they credited it in the latest statement. So not sure whether the quota can be overwritten by CS intervention or not

What were the dates for the transactions?

I got the card 2 months ago and for my latest statement, received zero petrol cashback for single BHP transaction on 1 March (same transaction and posting date). 2 Aeon supermarket transactions for RM13+ returned 4 cents rebate. Something is totally off with their rebate calculation this month.

In this morning, I filled in the Feedback and Enquiry form on UOB website. Accepted a call just now. From the conversation, the personnel told me that there was a technical glitch from 1 to 3 March 2014. Thus, for my RM 60 petrol transaction on 2 March 2014, there was no cash rebate given. Anyway, the cash rebate will be credited back to my account within my next statement.

Perhaps, charymsylyn could make an enquiry to CS.

system glitch, perhaps.

lucas114 reported earlier of his 2 March transaction not getting cashback. Refer here

Once is ok, twice is a pattern. are they doing some hankypanky jobs to "not qualify" ppl from petrol surge on early of the month?  hmm.gif

I have got the cash rebate for that particular transaction. laugh.gif

You must call. There is a system glitch. I called the other day regarding my march transaction which on 16th march no cashback, but 24th got cashback. They say system error. My 24th pump RM10, 16th pump RM50. LOL they say my 24th should not entitle, so will debit back, then credit back for my 16th. Hahaha

I got cash rebate for petrol transaction made on 26th March (posted on 28th March). How about others?

Bugger just called the CS and was inform that my RM3.20 is the rebate given on the first and partial from my second pump. Dafuq? you're telling me pumping half way on the 12th the quota is up? Utter nonsense man. Freaking cheat man and people here mentioning they gotten the rebate for their transaction after mine.

1. Such coincidence Rm3.20 is the 5% of Rm64 which I did the transaction on the 12th?
2. 12 is still consider early for the month
3. There is people here that gotten the rebate for transaction after mine.

I'm canceling this card after clearing my statement. You are officially blacklisted from my choice of cards no matter what card you launching in future.

Last time when I called in, I got unconvincing answers as well, but I have to give in because I couldn't show proof that other people are getting the cash rebate after that date.

Then, just to try my luck, I wrote in and submitted the feedback form online on UOB website, saying that I suspected the petrol transaction on 2nd March was not given cash back.

A few hours later, I got a call from UOB and I was informed there was a system glitch and that the cash rebate will be credited back into my cc account by next month (April statement). And yes, it has been credited back to me.

Maybe you can try this method. smile.gif

Hhmm... I pump petrol twice a month. Sometimes 3 times if I'm on road trip. And most of the time, the transactions are first and third week of the month.

This is the first time I did not get rebate on 19th as I'd usually get as late as 24th of the month. I guess it really depends on month-to-month basis.
*
My petrol transaction on 17/7 didn't earn me rebate.

However, surprisingly, my petrol transaction on 30/6 earned me rebate.

How sure are you that the petrol rebate comes from 30th June one and not 17th July one?
*
QUOTE(victorywp @ Jul 30 2014, 08:58 PM)
perhaps different amount? easily to detect...
*
Because the pumped amounts (RM) were different.

My wild guess, July is raya month. Perhaps, there were lots of travelings to purchase raya stuff. Rebate finished fast.
