Why do we get GST cash back 3 months from approval? We will be charged GST the moment we sign up for credit card? I thought you'll only be charged after one year? Then why do we get the cashback just 3 months after getting the card?

the 2% smart$ at bhp is a little bit tricky. if you pump directly at the automated fuel dispenser with your uob cc, then you will get the 2% smart$. if you go inside to pay at the counter, then you need to be sure that the cashier charge your uob cc at the uob terminal/machine. usually bhp has 2 terminals/machines which are uob and affin. if the cashier charged your uob cc to the affin terminal/machine, then you will not get your 2% smart$. i will always remind the cashier to charge my uob cc at the correct terminal especially if the cashier looks blur.

Not even in your monthly statement?

if you swipe at the automated fuel dispenser, the receipt will will have no smart$ record. however, your monthly statement will have it. if you swipe at the counter, you can see the smart$ value of your current purchase as well as the total accumulated/available smart$ in your receipt.
