Better just directly go to a nearest branch and ask them generate to you on the spot.
i tried email; no respond
call CS; ask me to apply online or go to branch
apply online; few weeks time also no reply on email or sms

So one day lunch time i went to bank and ask for the pin directly. Sit for 5 mints and the CS gave me the pin. Just need to provide them your IC. And yeah all the pins are damn long and many digits  cool2.gif
and online acc password they only accept max 7 digits/character  doh.gif

yeah same here, got my card the other week and was wanting to sign up, called up CS and kept telling me to go branch and was told specifically there is 'no other way'. WTF

None of my other cards require a visit to the branch, can't even do it at the ATM thats what bothers me. Maybe they trying to generate head count in their branches?
Can't imagine why every single new CC holder will need to get to the branch.

is it still worth to retain UOB one card (heard the cashback T&C revised lately)? My card due in May 14.
Currently, I have Maybank 2 Kard.

if you can live with only doing your transactions (petrol or otherwise) on weekends, then by all means cancel

Which date you refer to??

Normally we have used it for petrol until second week of the month, otherwise, the rebate for petrol may not get due to reached 900k

Advicable to used for petrol for the first and second week

Didnt calculate specifically on my petrol patterns but notice somehow the cash back was halved.

Yeah first and second week it seems, perhaps i should look for another petrol rebate card

You can refer back to your monthly statement and do the calculation.

Alternately, you may look for another credit card for petrol purpose which MBB2 card is highly recommend.
Yup, will terminate too if the bank no offer for GST and AF

Nah don't fancy the weekend only limitations cause i pump whenever I need to on a couple of cars

Mine is still pretty new as applied this year so should still have GST waiver

why don't you use hlb wise 10% if you have a couple of cars to pump the fuel?
*
I had some very bad experience with HLB and i swear by not touching any of their products any more ever. period. lollls

i used to have very bad experience with mbb too and i did stopped using their cc for few years. but after they launched the mbb2cards, i tried to forget about the past and applied for it and start anew with mbb cc (because of its good cb benefits). from then until today i think i have earned from the cb a few thousands already. why do you choose to maintain in the past?  rolleyes.gif

MBB i've no problems lol, maybe I'll give that a look.

Time to redeem the smart cash and cancel this card then haha

Just got it last week!!!
Will check coming bill then terminate if such thing really exists.

It really does, almost all of us here has it in our statements for the past few months, effective petrol cash back is around 2.1% - 3%

Yes.. True.. I am getting this kind of rebates since the impose of the rebate capping..

I am looking for another alternative which is the Citibank Shell Card, but my annual fee and the mileage is still not worth it.

looks like the citi cash back plat is a winner
