May I know is there any promotion to new UOB One Card applicant? e.g. RM50 cash back with minimum 3 swipe? 1 or 2 years annual fee waived etc?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 25 2014, 03:19 PM) didnt check UOB's website? Noted, actually i saw it from fellow forumer from previous page.http://www1.uob.com.my/personal/cards/cred...cards_apply.htm big big header. My situation was different, i applied end of last year and end up recently someone from the bank called up and wish to follow up on the application as the previous bank representative resigned. I have just received the card but yet to activate, just wondering where can i check on the benefits upon activation? Usually on 1 year annual fee waived? And i saw some of you have issue on the petrol cash back not fully awarded, it was the total amount of cash back limit set by the bank on first come first serve? |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 25 2014, 05:28 PM) wow, that's awfully long to get your application approved. Yes, that was long. According to UOB the representative left right after my application, therefore the application hang some where around UOB without no one knowing it till recently they was doing some clean up i guess.you might need to call up UOB to find out when is the exact approval date and what promo you're eligible (since promo ties to the approval date, not submission date). Will check UOB on the approval date. Previously was planning to use this card as a petrol card, does it worth it? As i see some of the forumer here having some issue on the petrol cash rebate. Lastly one more question, what will happen if i did not activate the card? No need to pay for anything rite? As i just receive the bill for Gov tax RM50...LOL... |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 25 2014, 07:21 PM) must pay per your bill. try to fulfill the promo (usually RM50 rebate) signup requirement, then UOB will credit back RM50. I mean if i do not want the card and did not activate it, still need to pay the GST? When i apply it end of last year to replace my ocbc titanium...but did not receive any application status, then i decided switch to HLB wise already...petrol rebate: usually till 14th of the month the quota already depleted. you still can keep this card as backup, but not as your primary petrol card. Now tot of using as backup but it seem up to middle of the month the petrol cash back quota already finished... |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Aug 25 2014, 09:59 PM) you made a mistake in not terminating your application. to answer your question, you need to check with the bank on what is their policy for non-activation cases. I am only aware of the petrol cash back issue when i saw this forum...else i will actually use it as my backup card...Nvm i think ill just activate it, fulfill the RM50 GST rebate n keep it and see how it goes...worst come to worst just terminate it... |

QUOTE(bluebay @ Oct 17 2014, 09:34 AM) Today just tried using their website, managed to proceed with buy 1 free 1.Referring to their banner, it seem they specified "via GSC website". So not so sure about mobile apps. https://www1.uob.com.my/personal/promotions...gsc_140814.html |

It seem AMEX easily hack by those people, mine was happened early this year, report to MBB, replace with a new card.
By the way, when will the service tax refunded upon fulfilled the 3 transactions? I received my 1st statement and paid for the service tax then performed 3 transactions before 15 september 2014 as stated in the SMS to offset the service tax. All 3 transactions printed on my second statement. Now I receive my 3rd statement but could not see any service tax offset posted on the statement. Any idea? |

QUOTE(David83 @ Oct 30 2014, 07:29 AM) The 3D authentication with OTP enforcement is based on merchant and not by the bank. If the merchant doesn't want to enforce such tighter security, the bank or payment processor cannot do much. So which mean anyone have our card detail including the CVV/CVS code can do online purchase at certain site. Then I think no way we can prevent this issue. |
