Highlights of UOB Preferred Platinum Visa and MasterCard

3. The Preferred Plat no longer offers Complimentary access to KLIA and LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge.
They still offer complimentary PPL access but with certain conditions:

I went to UOB branch to register online banking and set SMS alert. The CS requested to have my IC photocopied for the SMS alert. I declined and she got agitated.

Is it really have to go branch only can create the online account?

So time wasting and the nearest UOB branch to my area is quite far.
*
Supposedly you can do it once you have the t-pin delivered to you, but you still need to find UOB's atm

Oh Bro, I just reread your post, my reply is for SMS Alert only.
*
Hehee, your reply is spot on. CS told me I need to go to the branch for SMS alert doh.gif If only i know about the form earlier.

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Sep 5 2013, 11:14 AM)
I don't remember receiving the T-pin, can i request from CS? Then if I have time only go the ATM to activate
*
You need to call CS to get it mailed to you.

If you do it at the branch, no T-Pin is required. You will be asked to key in 7 digits (temporary) on the spot.

Then, no need online banking purposes laa.. Simple thing takes less than 5 minutes, it's normal procedure. Next time u want to open an account there, they wont ask anymore.  doh.gif
*
What normality are you talking about?

CIMB, MBB, RHB, OCBC does not require a photocopy of IC for SMS alert. I am also confident that my request for the SMS alert will be successful without furnishing the photocopy of my IC wink.gif

To open an online banking, they just need my IC to be inserted to the card reader + thumbprint verification. No photocopy too.

their sales executive offered me for signing one platinum card and preferred platinum card, both under 1 account.

one platinum card for cash rebate, preferred platinum card for points and access to premium lounge.

requirement for one platinum is RM36k, while preferred platinum is only RM48k?

Sounds legit? Anyone kindly advise?
*
What do you mean by under one account?

Fyi, GST per card is RM50

Refer to the website for the accurate income requirement and other T&C

Can I terminate my UOB one card since I got my OCBC Titatnium already? I have my UOB card not more than 1 month
*
Yes, but since you have paid the GST, might as well keep it until just before the next anniversary. Might come handy.

I'm using UOB One Platinum. Find out their service abit lousy. I had swipe 6 times within 2 months, but until now after 6 months still not yet get the RM50 cash back even already call them twice to take note this.

Once I sign up the online banking for my CC, it automatically cancel my hardcopy monthly statement. During i talk to their customer service through phone, they not even inform me about this at all.

Furthermore, first time swipe only get the sms report. Following times no more sms report.

Does anyone face the same issue like me?

QUOTE(nothingz @ Nov 13 2013, 09:11 AM)
so far they are still able to.solve my problems on the phone. they will always request you to write in if you want to change something.

for the RM50, call them everyday until you get it or just cc an email to Bank Negara
*
For the RM50 cash back, I already give them ultimatum, if i dont get it at the end of the period as per the T&C, I will write to BNM. Already 2 Sc agents following up and their level of service is on par with SCB and citibank doh.gif And I get annoyed when they asked for IC no to verify when they are the one making the phone call.

The AF is a major drawback and this might prompt users to give this card a miss. If the AF can be waived easily, they should just remove it. Sometimes I wonder why these banks wanna make their lives difficult. Seriously, how many will actually spend 36k on this card?

After reading this, personally feel OCBC more sincere to keep long term customer, as with 12/24 swipe per year, no annual fee. Cumulative RM10k spent on card, RM50 government tax will refund. Should UOB follow this if they looking for long term royal customer...mmm...

----------

Annual fee will be waived perpetually with minimum cumulative 60 transactions per year
for UOB ONE Classic Card/ 12 transactions and cumulative RM36,000 spend per year for UOB ONE Platinum Card
*
Do check out the new terms for OCBC, no more 10k annual bonus rolleyes.gif
