Is this a trend or what? I just settled my card dispute too last week. Someone used it to buy game at steamgame. Anyway, i received uob new card last week.

It seem AMEX easily hack by those people, mine was happened early this year, report to MBB, replace with a new card.

By the way, when will the service tax refunded upon fulfilled the 3 transactions?

I received my 1st statement and paid for the service tax then performed 3 transactions before 15 september 2014 as stated in the SMS to offset the service tax.

All 3 transactions printed on my second statement.

Now I receive my 3rd statement but could not see any service tax offset posted on the statement.

Any idea?

I think it'll be credited back in the 3rd or 4th statement.

some site online purchase dont require OTP, is weird, i bought phone case from US store, it just need the code behind the card, and click click click... done... item reach me. Sometime wonder how come it does not need OTP.

The 3D authentication with OTP enforcement is based on merchant and not by the bank. If the merchant doesn't want to enforce such tighter security, the bank or payment processor cannot do much.

So which mean anyone have our card detail including the CVV/CVS code can do online purchase at certain site. Then I think no way we can prevent this issue.

Yes and that's why you have SMS alert and it's your responsibility to safeguard the CVV/CVS code.

uob card is the stupid card application i ever seen and inefficient staff they hav........i've applied the card for 1 month no reply from sales when sms no reply..called the center they ask me follow up wit the sales person.sent all my salary documents before biz trip to SG..now they say pending my documenst...WTF! apply a platinum card @ UOB just make me looks stupid...NOT GONA use it anymore once i received it!..rather use back my current 3 cards from maybank, ambank with less benefit..the WORST card service i ever experienced before!

1. This is the risk when applying through an agent
2. Terminate your application BEFORE it is approved, problem solved. Get proof of termination.

Don't care about him anymore. You mentioned pending documents right. SO send an email to UOB, give all the details and state you want to terminate your application effective immediately. Ask for black and white confirmation.

Haha, you waited 3 months, you know how long i have waited? 1 year...
LOL...after a year another staff only contact me telling me that the ex-staff already resign...
That is why my application was stuck some where...
And I don't think he is a agent, he was one of the top staff has the highest number of applicants in UOB.
