can detect doesn't mean you can connect. look at the lower left section of mobile partner app, you need to get at least a consistent 1 bar to connect & 2 bars to get a stable enough connection. and try switching to 1800, normally that's the best band to use if you're not close to the tower.

7 is faster than 5 that costs more, so bersyukurlah.

which modem did you use?

I'm using e398 as well. with the modem only I couldn't connect to LTE, just able to detect with an on off 1 bar signal. I decided to go for the panel antenna & bought from blacktubi. straight away managed to get 2 bars with a stable 5-6mbps connection. I guess you're facing the same issue as mine, we're just located a bit outside the tower range. if you could detect 1bar LTE signal, there's a high chance to get the same result as I did with the e398 + panel antenna combo.

if you have an android phone you could install mymaxis app then check your data usage from there.

perhaps some people don't understand the term 'low-profile'. they might have mistaken with the low-profile tires used by ah bengs.
