out of all the other rumours we have, this one seems to have some traction. of course it's goal.com, so truckloads of salt at the side.

getting quality players by january is iffy, but tolerable. not getting ANY players at all is extremely questionable. the main issue is depth, not quality. not being able to sign anyone in the midst of an injury crisis shows some serious ineptitude by the person who's in charge of signings.

that being said, i'm confident we'll sign players. it just wont be top tier players.

geez, iuno, i'm pleased that we're signing someone, but i feel that the GK situation isnt an issue of depth, it's more an issue of quality. of course i'm assuming that this viviano dude is not as good as begovic, because i've never heard of him.

pretty much we're signing him so that when szc messes up, we have someone else to fall back down to. instead of signing someone better than him. in a nutshell, we're not improving.

fair enough, we're this late in the window, cant expect new additions that messes up the team chemistry.

looking at spurs starting eleven we're the clear favorites. i mean come on man, santi/giroud/walcott/rosicky/ramsey/wilshere, DAMN that's a good unit. spurs can wait until eriksen and lamela start to play before i get any jitters playing against them.

what i'm concerned about is spurs's newfound ability to get penalties, and our defence giving away penalties. i hope kosc/mert get their derby face out, we need them at their best. nothing needs to be said about wilshere, he'll be out for blood. ramsey needs to keep his head in midfield, dembele and paulinho might give him a rough time physically.

soldado is a poacher, our fullback should do their best denying any service from gyfli and townsend. i havent seen anything to suggest he's able to create his own chances, so deny him service and we should be good.

we easily outclass them in creativity, esp with santi/rosicky both in the team. it's physicality where spurs might hurt us. giroud should work hard in winning aerial battles and hold up play. lloris might decide the game for them, he's in fantastic form lately.
