There r 3 components in ASG
Mind to share y u choose Pendidikan instead of Kesihatan and Persaraan?

I opened ASG account today. I need to open saving account too at MayBank.
And also I need to transfer a big amount of $$ from different bank. I spent one entire morning to do this.
Since it is a sudden decision ( read newspaper yesterday for this offer ), I did not do any research and even don't know the price of it. Currently I am related to education therefore I choose Pendidikan.

oh gosh. Look like you don't understand this fund at all. Try look the post I post before.... 3 funds have diff asset allocation. Meaning, affecting its dividend. Put it apart. You know rite when u buying an amount, but the units I, hand isn't that amount you paid. That's is sale charge and NAV combined. And what I want to pint out is, you  buy at the wrong time, that is you missed a good chance to buy as the NAV of the three drop A LOT last few weeks, meaning, the unit in hand will be more compared to now. But, since u bought, its ok. Welcome to the club.

Next week, Monday will be buying 5 figures.
Yesterday only bought one hundred unit. The transaction was done after 4pm, so I was unable to buy it at MayBank.

You are very naive when it comes to investing isn't it? Do more research next time rather than wasting all your hard earned money...

ASG-Pendidikan charges 5% sales charge, compared to most funds you can buy online with less hassle at 2% or less.

Also ASG-Pendidikan track performance is not that good compared to other UTs...if fact downright terrible...compared to funds like Kenanga Growth Fund.

Or if you desire the 60:40 mix like in ASS, you can mix Kenanga Growth fund (2% sales charge) and Amdynamic bond (0% sales charge) whihc will result in higher earnings and less cost.

Why else do you think ASG is not popular (total ~100 million units sold from approved 1 bil units)?  wink.gif
*
So, what will you recommend me to buy?
From the numbers it was given, it has more than 7% dividend every year.
ASG PENDIDIKAN, KESIHATAN AND PERSARAAN.

The dividend does not represent returns, when buying non fixed priced fund, looking at dividend is useless. The dividend is paid out of your left pocket to your right pocket. For these funds you need to calculate total return. For non fixed priced funds, it is possible to have LOSSES in a year.

Looking at dividend return only works for fixed priced funds like ASB and AS1M.

You need to consider the change in NAV as well when buying ASG.. overall ASG funds has been largely under performing other non-fixed price UT.

Anyway it's your money and so it's your choice...
