Hi,

Few month ago when i needed to withdraw money my left hand thumb was injured. So on my asb book they have to change to new thumb print of the right hand chop into the book. But i forgot about this change. For the pass few withdrawals i been using the left thumb back bcs it healed already. Is this a big issue? Should i inform them about the mistake?? Bcs on the book on it say right thumb???

I have been wondering whether they really verify the signatures and thumbprints before they issue the cash.

If so, how do they verify the thumbprint?

Think the problem is on ASNB side and not you for the left-right thumbprints.

Cheerio.

Ya i feel the person shouldn't have change the thumb print in my book since my thumb wasn't permanent injured. Now thing very confusing. So is this a problem???

If you are still concerned, tell them the left-right thumbprints the next time you go to ASNB then.

Cheerio.

Never thought this left/right thumbprints thing become an issue. What I know they will check the thumbprints with mykad reader machine (or some kind of machine) for identity confirmation. The  thumbprints on the the slip is just for documentation purpose only, I think  hmm.gif No actual "value" I suppose.

they use your MyKad as verification

MyKad stores BOTH your thumb prints. in fact, MyKad stores ALL your finger prints wink.gif

just like some forummer says, the papers mean nothing. it is only used if there is any disputes / unauthorised w/drawal cliam by passbook owner

Ok guys thanks a lot. notworthy.gif Feel a lot better now. Can spend my money with peace of mind now.
