No max limit. It depends on yo ability n d availability of funds
Can't use 'guarantee' word for fixed pricing. They maintain buy n sell price @ 1.00/unit right now
*
please mind your word as it can misleading.

there are certain risk in UT, it isn't exactly the same as FD.

Was not successful yesterday at RHB. The gent checked my AS1M and after a few mins said tak ada. But when I passed to him my other 2 books (ASM & ASW2020), he said he would leave the counter in a few minutes.

Was going to ask him why no as he could still continue with mine while the next in-coming counter clerk can handle the next customer. Decided not to "argue" and left.

RHB is now in my "bad" list for ASX. Happy with CIMB.

Your feedback/experience?

Cheerio.

Thanks, guy3288, for the overview. You know the system well.

I take it then if 10 people sell RM500 each at 900 am (total RM5000), I will not be successful if I put in RM5000, or RM2000 or RM1000, right?

Also not successful at RM100?

If no to all the above, why? It is as if it is selling from seller A to buyer B (#1) , the amounts must match, and not seller A to ASNB and then ASNB to buyer B (#2).

If it is #2, then ASNB will accumulate the "sellings" and buyers can buy whatever ASNB has accumulated.

#2 can be good and bad. Good for big buyers like you who will sapu whatever ASNB has accumulated and bad for small ants like me with nothing left. Ha.

Cheerio.

just to make the thing short.
the banker try small amount will please them, in term if when low amount, high chance to got. If high amount, we don get, we will keep demand, they will suffer. When we got even little amount, we will happy with it and not demand it or shy to demand. That's it.

As for ASB you get dividend every january. The divident of course is pro rated, let say you put 100k for 6 months, you will get half of the yearly dividend on that 100K.

ASG-Didik, mean 1.1338 per NAV.
The net asset value (NAV) is the highest when compare apple with apple in the past several years.

earning 900 still ok... comparing to FD. which is around 315 pa.

I have no idea. The staff is one of my mum's friend.

Yes, last last year i put FD at bank rakyat for 4.11% one year.. this ASW comes with 6.7%.. it's around more ~2.59% per year

Now the confusing part is my calculation for dividend ... i suppose sifus here can guide my calculation is correct or wrong?
*
I highly suspect you really able to put in 50 k or not in one shot.

Or u just want to ask our opinion regarding the calculation of dividend.

You know why, this is extremely rare if 50k in one shot nowadays esp for non bumi. want got 500 unit also very very hard unless dividend pay day.

LOL. One shot or bit by bit.

1 day deposited 50k is incredible, and what to tell you is that, if you want to bank in ASW, why so picky regarding dividend? If you think that FD is much more better, go for it. No need to calculate. IN long term ASW will earn more, ofc. But since u can so easily bank in, no worry for you though.

As you can see in my previous post, i did mention i put my passbook with her + money/cheque. I didn't go through like you guys to Bank's counter, i do at their amanah saham branch.

ALL my transactions done had been printed in my passbook. It tooks 3 pages for RM60k to be done for last few days.

why should need thumb print scan and IC verification when i didnt do any withdrawal?

I guess i dont have to please everyone here by capturing images of my passbook. Thus if you guys believe it's not true then it is.

The interest i have confirm with my mum's friend and its confirm 8 months interest dividend till 1/9/2014.

The funny part is afterall this thread had been created for years.... i can't believe forumers here cant put rm50k-rm100k with combination of rm4.5k, rm3k, rm5k on one day. Funny... funny....
*
Well, funny part is u are non bumi, and yet getting huge amount, even for 1 year time impossible to got it, in term of normal people.

Well, I can tell also, I deposited 1K daily.

but, no snap shoot provided. LOL

Rather quiet on this thread now.

I am new to this ASX. Historically, do we usually see more ASX sales before the Xmas and New Year? Hope so.

Ditto before the Chinese New Year?

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all the ASX thread participants!!!

No. there will no "sales" in ASX

based on historical ASB dividend rate posted by forumer here, there's seem to be indication the dividend would drop in coming years until the next GE  hmm.gif

It will drop, but not that much or even increase, will not much. Just like AS1M and Wawasan. Just ~0.2 diff.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was just thinking since I still have few days AL to bring forward to next year, I should have utilize it and maximize the chances to get some units...Is that true 2nd January will have more people selling off their units?
Sorry, my mistake...I typed that msg when I was still in office yesterday, I have checked my passbook, it is a shinny gold coloured "Amanah Saham Malaysia"  laugh.gif

Thn you can try but the chances is very low to get units

Just to share my first visit to ASNB counter at PNB before CNY.

I filled 3 acct opening forms aiming to open anyone of ASW, AS1M or ASM.
Waited 45min for my number to be served.
The teller said only accept cash (no cash cheque as some mentioned here).  hmm.gif
She said they have to process new acct opening even without knowing if there is any available units.
A moment later she shown me 3 new passbooks but told me no available units and she had to destroy all the 3 books.  shocking.gif  cry.gif
Looking at those to-be-destroyed passbooks with my name printed, I was so disappointed and left with empty handed and gone for lunch.

After lunch I recoup my hope and went back to try my luck once more before heading home.
I took another number, when my number was called, I landed with the same teller.  sweat.gif
(Oh man... what is the chances of this happening with 6, 7 counters actively servicing?)
She glared at me and said calmly that I can't retry on the same day, the system will clear my details only at night.
I ended up opening ASG with the 2% SC offer. (I won't top up after this offer is over.)
And she was kind enough to help check again if any available unit for ASW/AS1M/ASM. Again failed. Fated.  doh.gif
She said to open new acct, must minimally have 10k units before can place 100 units to new book. Not sure how true is that or some other unknown/hidden factors barring my account opening.  hmm.gif

Seeing the challenge to open new acct and further challenges to top up, I am putting my money elsewhere.
Spending time on other higher yielding instruments that work for me.
Oh ya, forgot to mention, I got a free nice laptop backpack from ASNBthumbup.gif

wa.. why I dun have de

Am looking into PMA by Philip Capital. Annualized roi of 12.5% for the past 6 years. (Cumulative roi 103%).
I guess some UT also giving similar results over the past 5-10 years.
May try the mini-PMA first. Even higher annualized roi.  drool.gif  But as always, higher return, higher risk.

Re the backpack, I guess so, I din asked. Unless she kesian me lah...  tongue.gif
Yes, that's what I was told, but not sure why they want to make acct opening even tougher.  mad.gif
Ok lah, at least worth my trip.
Did you open your acct at ASNB as well?
After I got my passbook, she asked to wait and then pass me the backpack from inside the room.
