QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Sep 3 2013, 05:02 PM)
Fundamentally I personally cannot see this happening. None of what used to be normal macro-economic behaviors where gold vs oil vs USD are always either a direct or inverse correlation with each other has been destroyed and thrown out of the window no thanks to the US-FED QE plan to just print money.

Gold used to be what investors rush to in flight to safety whenever USD or crude oil goes down but if one is to chart the prices since the 2008 financial crisis, everything is just haywire. Add to that ETFs that take large chunks of gold-related transactions, the basic fundamental of gold demand is just out of sequence with what most people used to believe how gold should behave.

Apologies in advance if I confuse anyone tongue.gif

The price is so unpredictable nowadays. See now, already dropped but not so "sharp" unlike in April. Dropped so "sharp" within few days shakehead.gif

Dont worry, as long as you revise your budget, it still can be done..

I am going to revise my budget already.. especially my meals for lunch can revise to be not so costly..

Previously i have such plans but i did not really stick to it, as a result i spend between RM8 and RM10 per meal..

Now, seriously have to sacrifice to downgrade the budget to RM5 per meal, at least save about RM70 per month..

A sacrifice was required to earn passive income, nothing much can be done..  blush.gif
*
What if the shop increase the food prices (they give logistic cost increase as excuses)? Now rm5/meal increased to rm6?

I'm expecting the price of goods & services to increase a bit vmad.gif mad.gif

Ringgit Cost Averaging

The technique of buying a fixed ringgit amount of a particular investment on a regular schedule, regardless of the share price. More shares are purchased when prices are low, and fewer shares are bought when prices are high.

Eventually, the average cost per share of the security will become smaller and smaller. Ringgit-cost averaging lessens the risk of investing a large amount in a single investment at the wrong time.

For example, you decide to purchase $100 worth of XYZ each month for three months. In January, XYZ is worth $33, so you buy three shares. In February, XYZ is worth $25, so you buy four additional shares. Finally, in March, XYZ is worth $20, so you buy five shares. In total, you purchased 12 shares for an average price of approximately $25 each.

QUOTE(smartinvestor01 @ Sep 4 2013, 08:25 AM)
Yape, i am also expecting the increase also...

Since the day the petrol price increase, you would see the news talking about 'Ministry will ensure inflation will not happen', 'Food price will be monitored', etc.. it seems to me more like to bluff.. Its a simple mathematics that they think we dont know.. An increase will petrol will definitely increase the cost of living as food prices, and other household products due to higher logistics cost..

Now they will not increase the price, but next month, i believe those prices of the foods and household products will increase..

Say want to control inflation, but they are doing the opposite..

They just simply said that, so people would feel better. People actually know what would happen soon mad.gif vmad.gif

it should be at that mark, judging from ASM & ASW2020 performance.

it was 6.60% last year and it was good.

anything above 4.95% is good enough for me.
*
Anything above 6% is already good for me rclxms.gif

I hope for 6.8% drool.gif thumbup.gif

Now also suffering for "top-up" but I don't need Q at 4am smile.gif

Anyway It's some kind of life experience. We can meet different people from all backgrounds & shares old time stories. One of them is one old Chinese uncle. He told a lot of stories especially the existence of PNB & the "London Stock Exchange Raid". Not bad for an old timer like him. I don't know where he are now, Maybe he migrated to Australia with his children hmm.gif

don't worry, maybe next time got chance to open new account. God willing biggrin.gif

That's why I said I gave up long time ago. Felt like a poor dog scrambling for crumbs thrown out on the street when trying to open account. For trying to top up, felt like dogs begging for some crumbs while unsure whether can get any or not. All this just because we want to get better interest rates. As I compared to the privileged who can waltz in anytime to get interest rates that are higher....... sad isn't it?
*
I know the feeling, but what to do? We need some kind of "safe" investment. We cannot just put all our money in "high risk" investment. What if we lose all those hard earn money, Then 14th floor jump is the answer cry.gif .

About the "privileged" people, I cannot say much. If I go deeper, I would end up in Jail cry.gif

AS1M dividend most likely would be the same as ASW2020.

ASD only invest in halal stocks, no banking/ gaming stocks. It is also the best performance fund besides ASB, it has the undistributed profit of 4 cents per unit being carried forward to the following years.
*
Not bad for the fund that don't invest in banking stocks rclxms.gif

I respect their investment officers thumbup.gif

what does it means in bold?  unsure.gif
If it sounded anytime, and do not sell like a hot cake like the other, means there are perceived risks right?  unsure.gif

any news for the new announcement so far?
*
The bold one means the fund transaction would be suspended, meaning no open new account, "top-up" or withdrawal.

ASG - Normally March 20 above, April 1st back to normal

ASN3 - Normally November 20 above, December 1st back to normal

Currently those fixed price fund not available for opening new account
