gin&tonic
sorry for late reply.... my uni life started @@ ASG got 3. Persaraan, Pendidikan, and Kesihatan. those 3 have no diff in term of funds, but their allocation fund is diff from each other. Kesihatan is equity. However, Persaraan and Pendidikan is Fixed income securities and other capital market instruments. But, this i think no that important imo..... to make the story short. ASG variable price fund. Meaning, the price for a single unit is totally different every single day. it can be lower or higher compared to the days b4. say buying. A unit is like 1.6083. But when we buy, there is sale charge. ( 2% for ASG, 5 % for ASN 3 ) 1.6083*102 = 1.6405 So when you buy 1000 MYR, you will only get 609.57 units. I hope i made it clear for the purchasing... by the way, lucifah, yes, ASB, ASD, ASM, ASW, and AS1M is theoretically risk free, but i think practically no. There is still risk but much much much lower than ASN,ASN2,ASN3 and ASG..... This post has been edited by [Ancient]-XinG-: Sep 13 2013, 02:47 PM |

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Sep 15 2013, 01:31 PM) ASB have some kind of premium "brand" among people. People look up towards ASB. I expect ASB 2 could be fully subscribe within 1-2 years (take-up rate would be even faster if banks offer ASB 2 Loans) i can say not going to happen. And my opinion giving this ASB2, and let say profiting bumi, keep in mind that ASB is not even max up or even have by every single bumi, so the profiting bumi statement is not valid, even other fund is not fully filled eg ASM, AS1M, there must be something happen inside. Eg, hidden crisis such as not enough funds to cover up OR just to "pleased" EVERY SINGLE investor heart that their management is running well aka "pill penenang hati". But we don't know, just my personal opinion. With this, I don't think anytime soon all those unsold Bumi units in ASW & AS1M would be sold out. Based on my observation & some research. I managed to come with few conclusion. 1 - AS1M unsold units would be "released" to all 2 - New Amanah Saham with no racial quota 3 - Savings Sukuk with 5% pa 4 - ASM additional unit (Maybe 1 - 2bil with no racial quota) All these are to "fund" the gomen projects, maybe for the upcoming $ 3B Mega IPO & others or on the bright site, they wish to have bumi 100 % 8 PA profit, and letting go all the quota status in ASW, ASM, AS1M, so that can be said that bumi = ASB/ASB2 non bumi = ASM/AS1M/ASW2020..... |

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Sep 15 2013, 03:51 PM) IF really PNB launch new fixed price scheme, I think the same old "crap" excuses / Negative perception when AS1M launch few years back would appear again No, i thing the crap will not happen again unless all ppl are brainless after the same incident happen again....It's always like that. Also one thing I realized, ASB & ASW don't list full their investment in Bursa. They would only list the top 20 only unlike ASM, ASD & AS1M |

QUOTE(kongming @ Sep 21 2013, 05:36 AM) oh gosh. Look like you don't understand this fund at all. Try look the post I post before.... 3 funds have diff asset allocation. Meaning, affecting its dividend. Put it apart. You know rite when u buying an amount, but the units I, hand isn't that amount you paid. That's is sale charge and NAV combined. And what I want to pint out is, you buy at the wrong time, that is you missed a good chance to buy as the NAV of the three drop A LOT last few weeks, meaning, the unit in hand will be more compared to now. But, since u bought, its ok. Welcome to the club. |

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Sep 21 2013, 10:19 PM) Wah, you already expert in ASG. I until now still not fully understand all the 3 fund in ASG. Their annual report also quite confusing. I not pro la, haha. I just noticed the NAV last month till yesterday. Basically, the earning for this 3 funds is relatively stable for me... Till now I still don't get why persaraan NAV is so high, but the dividend isn't that superior comparing each other... The anual report is like mess to me as I am not finance student == I just know the asset allocation is diff, since the kesihatn is equity. But I duno that much since I am new in this. But, if want buy, I advice using DCA bcoz now the NAV is high again. |
