Since I follow this thread, I don't see anyone talking about ASD. Only ASB & open to all Malaysian fund are famous here

ASD only for bumi and it is full for subscription.
The fund size is the smallest among all fixed price fund

Many has impression this is the funds for kids

ASD dividend for 2013 is 6.8% and 6.6% for 2012.. could the AS1M be 6.8% as well?

ASD fully subscribed? even for bumi?

Looks like they're really pushing for people to go online. Unfortunately they need to rely on bank's online platform which is limited in terms of funds that can be invested.

We should really ask PNB to come up with their own online portal/website that isn't limited like what the bank's have.

That's why I said I gave up long time ago. Felt like a poor dog scrambling for crumbs thrown out on the street when trying to open account. For trying to top up, felt like dogs begging for some crumbs while unsure whether can get any or not. All this just because we want to get better interest rates. AsIcompared to the privileged who can waltz in anytime to get interest rates that are higher....... sad isn't it?

that is why i pity my other prince of earth comrades. other races are struggling to get the funds while bumi allocations are left aplenty...

I'm going to disagree on the above for 2 reasons:

1. ASB is an open ended fund as compared to other fixed price funds. Theoretically there's no way for ASB allocation can be filled up.

2. Per capita income among the major races in Malaysia does show that the Malays have the largest make up of population under the poverty line. Malays can never save as much say the Chinese can based on the statistics available.

lately, the FD rare is getting lower and lower. FD promo are worsened.

FD rate never bounced back after 2008, still at 3.15 pa, compared to 3.75 pa in 2007....

indirectly, the demand for this funds is getting stronger and stronger..... :/

Based on the prevailing FD rates right now, BNM is unlikely to revise the OPR anytime soon

Anyway It's some kind of life experience. We can meet different people from all backgrounds & shares old time stories. One of them is one old Chinese uncle. He told a lot of stories especially the existence of PNB & the "London Stock Exchange Raid". Not bad for an old timer like him. I don't know where he are now, Maybe he migrated to Australia with his children

I know the feeling, but what to do? We need some kind of "safe" investment. We cannot just put all our money in "high risk" investment. What if we lose all those hard earn money, Then 14th floor jump is the answer .

AS1M dividend most likely would be the same as ASW2020.

ASD only invest in halal stocks, no banking/ gaming stocks. It is also the best performance fund besides ASB, it has the undistributed profit of 4 cents per unit being carried forward to the following years.

There are many other opportunities who give good return. Such as Bond funds, REITS funds.

REITS give regular returns and the stock price less volatile.
