Just tested 208 today. The fan noise beats a lorry, I never thought it could be this loud. However, if the a/c is cold, then its worth it.

Just got a few questions.

I drove it around 80kmh and find that the suspension is stiff (or was the tyres over inflated?). When going over uneven road, can hear kuluk kuluk sound. Same on yours?

Secondly, noticed that the engine rev much higher before upshifting. I dont see sport mode on the auto mode selection. Pretty sure its just D. Whats your fc like?

I get my 208 about a week. They ride is fun. fc is high at 7.5km/l. Engine is hot that I can feel it when I passby and the fan is "always" at full speed which create loud sound when I open Aircon.

I think fc will be better after 1st service at 2500km according to sales advisor. My concern is the fan sound. Can I upgrade to full synthetic engine oil? Would it help to reduce engine heat as the sound is quite annoying. I accept if it only happen sometime but not all the time. Today I pick up my sis at her school, I turn off my Aircon because the constant noise make everyone look at me.

According the the sales advisor, the fan have low, medium and high spend. It will automatic turn to high speed when we turn on Aircon. Does anyone experience the same too?

Third week using my car. I switch to Petronas as per recommended by my friend. The fc become 10km to 11km/l... Fan noise is loud only when the
car is stationary with Aircon turn on.

Overall satisfy with the car. Anyone know where to get the ori rear spoiler?

looks like 208 disc brake also a problem, mine dont have screeching sound but SC asked me to change disc brake bcuz of disc brake become thinner(is that really possible??it just 2 years old)

Mine also the same. It happen to me after 6 month I got the car giving the same reason they tell you. This mean european like brake with super loud sound and seems like European can't live without the loud brake sound which is "normal" to them... Haha..

After many complaint they ask me to skim my disc at RM80 (because I am not an European, can't stand the sound). Paid but problem come back after 1 month. Haven't got time go back complaint.

Seems like they are giving super lousy disc brake and ask customer to change it after that. So next time they give super lousy engine, super lousy transmission, super lousy everything and ask customer change it later? What a way of doing business.

Still thinking buying first hand car will have peace of mind.

Peugeot technician spoke to me as I questioned why a car company would.build a engine that would be like this? He says it affects other Peugeot models like 408,2008 etc. Sigh... Even though its there only for a short while you kinda question the engine a bit. No other explanation provided save just explaning that apparently engine.oil levels drop thus producing the noise after being.off overnight

I having the same experience.

Even though I am not an engineer. I "think" it should happen the same if u accelerate puting your gear at "N" if it is due to engine oil level drop. Mine happen only I put the gear on "D".

I also have disc brake issue currently which they also claim to be normal.

Didn't say much about it at SC because they are not trying to solve anything because everything is normal.
