After sales with NAZA is not up to mark. But I hear the same story with all other cars too! I think this is a Malaysian phenomena!

The car is certainly very good. Lively & fun to drive. Continue service at Peugeot SCs,no problems with regular service! You may encounter a peculiar issue, that's when you'll find SC is not good or unable to solve it. Fortunately there are a few very good independent Peugeot specialist workshops. These guys are very good. I know of many owners who got tired of SC and managed to get their cars fixed at these specialist workshops.

No fear, if you like the car go for it! IMO it a damn nice car! icon_rolleyes.gif

Yea, the car is indeed really good. I went to the showroom last week, the guy told me that 208 is already sold out for this year. Damn, need to wait til Jan18.

Doesn't have a chance to test drive it either, they even sold the test drive unit.
Well, I do come from a small place, probably the showroom doesn't order too many stock.

One thing to notice, the car air cond fan/compressor sound is really big at the outside.

208 being completely sold out is news to me. No wonder I see a lot of 208s on the road these days.

Loud fan noise is common on most Contis.

Hope you get your car soon, good luck!

Anyone know is there any promotion or rebate for Peugeot car now?
Especially 208 puretech.

I went back to the showroom yesterday, the sales told me there is none.
and now 208 is 89k OTR.

Hi all, i have sent my Peugeot 208 (5 doors) to Peugeot service centre for a about a year+ for servicing until now. As of now, another service is pending in a week. As the servicing cost in Peugeot service center is more costly as compared to third party workshops, i would like to ask if i should stick with Peugeot for the servicing work or can i send my car to a third party workshop for servicing at a lower cost.

What benefits will i lose if i send my car to a third party workshop?

Anyone's answer is greatly appreciated.

Dont send outside if still under warranty. Will be very costly if warranty voided. Parts and repair quite expensive.
They are very particular with service time/milage. Don't exceed the timing(forgot 1 or 2 weeks) and 500km milage. If need to claim any warranty they will check this list. If exceed or service outside, claim is rejected.

i test drive 208 and the 1.5 civic turbo and could say the 208 beat the civic turbo hands down. i felt the torque when accelerating with the 208 and it just keeps going with only ~40% of pedal pressed (3 adult in car). for the civic, i had to floored the accelerator to feel the power and the acceleration is not as good as 208 (3 adult in car too). i think the 208 win hands down in performance. but reliability wise i really not sure.

Any owners of the 208 gti here mind sharing your review of the car? Reliability is the main issue if it's not as reliable as my satria then that's a big problem

Any conti requires greater attention,Pugs are no different. If you see this as a burden, then you shoud stick with non contis.

208gti is a very nice car, super powerful. Driving dynamics by this car is at another level!Keep to the schedule maintenance, its will serve you well. Now Peugeots offer 7year warranty!

This is a car with high use of electronics. That is the reason why battery does not last long. This problem is not only with Pugs, all modern cars have this issue as all these cars use electronics much more than older design cars. Century batteries last almost 2years!

Not sure if Century DIN66 will fit, as battery box in Pugs tend to be rather small. This battery may last 2 years.

But don't go for cheaper batteries, sure will not last. I tried Gold Star, although DIN66 capacity, did not past 1year.

No 208 Puretech owners here? Any issues with the new powertrain?

Or nobody dare to buy 🤔

Current promo around 74-75k for 2018 stock.

Any recommendation expert to repair 208 out there? I had send my car to Pugs HQ, and also PJ service center, they all are not trusted (maybe i am in bad luck, the technician assigned to me is not skillful)
