Unfair for me to comment, but stocks are selling out fast.

Now only left Virtual Blue , Red & White. Might have to wait till end of the year for future colors.

Any new 208 puretech owner? My dad is very interested on new 3008, but his current 508 is very problematic.

But the sales person told me that the new S&S puretech engine from 2015 onward is much better and reliable. Same to aircond cooling coil etc, ady improved.

Their statement true or not tongue.gif

3008 is a very nice SUV. The new Puretech engines are much more refined. I tested the new 408, the engine was smooth, much improved & refined. The problems faced by the previous Prince engine has been solved.

i test drive 208 and the 1.5 civic turbo and could say the 208 beat the civic turbo hands down. i felt the torque when accelerating with the 208 and it just keeps going with only ~40% of pedal pressed (3 adult in car). for the civic, i had to floored the accelerator to feel the power and the acceleration is not as good as 208 (3 adult in car too). i think the 208 win hands down in performance. but reliability wise i really not sure.

They changed condenser, compressor and some other parts. Most of the 208 owners kena the same problem. But no announcement of the recall made in public. When call to SC and ask, provide plate number...then only they notify ada recall.

Hi all, Thinking of getting a second hand 208 , Vti 1.6 (Not the 1.2t model).

Any other issues apart from the temp sensor and compressor I should be aware about?

Cheers

my friend aircond workshop received a 208 (not sure is pre puretech or puretech) from peugeot service center. apparently the SC cant find the issue on why the aircond is not working and send it to my friend workshop for repair...quite unbelievable after i heard about this..lol

If not mistaken, SC told me they hire outside aircond technician to handle the recall.

Ya Peugeot SC don't fix aircon problems. Aircon is out sourced.

Anyone had ESP/ASR system fault on their 208 before? Sent for checking and they said brake servo problem. Quoted me RM1.5k to replace. Not covered under warranty. Apparently that part only covered for 3 years.

No warranty, don't go to SC,just cut throat! These guys are very good. Much cheaper than SC! I suspect it's just ESP sensor defect, only $260/- outside SC. Anyway check it out with Renautech!

After sales with NAZA is not up to mark. But I hear the same story with all other cars too! I think this is a Malaysian phenomena!

The car is certainly very good. Lively & fun to drive. Continue service at Peugeot SCs,no problems with regular service! You may encounter a peculiar issue, that's when you'll find SC is not good or unable to solve it. Fortunately there are a few very good independent Peugeot specialist workshops. These guys are very good. I know of many owners who got tired of SC and managed to get their cars fixed at these specialist workshops.

No fear, if you like the car go for it! IMO it a damn nice car! icon_rolleyes.gif
