Nobody mentions Einhander? I CURSE THE AIDS UPON THEE! D:<
![]() Screw you Square Enix for spending too much time with faggoting up Final Fantasy and spending little attention on other, far more superior games (Parasite Eve, Vagrant Story, to name a few) which beats the crap out of controlling a whiny, sissy makeup fag exterminating sewer rodents for the next few hours just to gain frickin' level (sarcasm ends). OK, so I admit that one of the games I mentioned (Vagrant Story) does put you in the shoes of an androgenous male character, but hey, at least he didn't whine, goes solo without any support, and beats the shit out of every single possessed armors, dragons, zombies, trolls, ghosts and whatever nasties he encountered. Anyway, back to topic. ![]() This Endymion FRS Mk II-Tan needs moar love. |

Nothing comes close to the Sega Saturn in terms of shooters, although the Mega Drive (JPN) eww not PAL comes a close second.
For Sega Saturn : The KING of all shooters (consensus) anyway : Radiant Silvergun I prefer Battle Garegga though Do Don Paichi Guardian Force Soukyugerentai Batsugun Shienryu Darius Gaiden In the Hunt Layer Section Sonic Wings 1945 1945II Sengoku Blaede ( my 2nd fav) Twinkle Star Sprites Cotton Boomerang Cotton 2 Thunderforce Thunderforce 2 Thunderforce V I think there should be a hell lot more... For MD there was Alien Soldier (JPN) Eliminate down Gleylancer Gunstar Heroes Panorama Cotton Robo Aleste There are a crap more. Attached thumbnail(s) |

I like shooters....but only in the arcades. Somehow, on consoles or PC, with no need to chug in ur hard earned coins, it just isn't as exciting.
How i wish i can slot in coins into consoles....maybe they'll make an adaptor to slot in coins?? LOL. I'll buy that!!! |

Shmups, eh? I used to plunk down a bajillion cents into the local arcades playing them. Later, I started wasting a bajillion hours into the console ports. These are my fav shmups of all time:
Terra Cresta (arcade) Gun Frontier (arcade) Sky Adventure (arcade) Super Contra (arcade/Famicom) Sonic Wings/Aero Fighters (arcade/Saturn/Playstation) Raiden II (arcade) Super Spacefortress Macross (arcade) Darius Gaiden (arcade/Saturn) Layer Section (Saturn) Radiant Silvergun (arcade/Saturn) Ikaruga (arcade/Dreamcast) These games are a list of games that I have previously played / owned only, so certain games like Gunstar Heroes for Megadrive didn't make my list simply because I didnt' own a Megadrive Well, that's my list anyway. I'm sure all old school gamers will have their own list of favs. Sigh, how I fondly remember those days gone by... |
